Egbo Makes History As KF Tirana Clinch Albanian League Title, Qualify For Champions League

Former Nigeria international Ndubuisi Egbo’s KF Tirana have been crowned 2019/2020 Albanian League champions, Completesports.com reports.

Tirana were confirmed champions after second placed Kukesi lost 1-0 at struggling Vllaznia on Sunday.

The result means Tirana on 69 points are now seven points ahead of Kukesi (62 points) with two games left to play and cannot be caught.

It is Tirana’s 25th league title in their history and their first since last winning it in 2009.

Egbo has now led Tirana to next season’s UEFA Champions League qualification stage.

The 46-year-old could make it a double for Tirana who have already qualified for the Albanian Cup final.

The 2000 and 2002 AFCON goalkeeper becomes the first ever Nigerian coach to lead a European team to a league title.

  • I am so happy about this news.
i have been following Tirani since i heard he took over as their coach and what makes this title crown more special is the fact that Tirani was in a mid table position when Egbo took over. infact their other coach was sacked bcox they feared they could be relegated at the end of the season if they continue that way.Egbo Then came in and turn every thing around.firing at all cylinders,
and eventually, clinch the title for them.
big big congrates to you man,
    u have made us proud.
jxt keep ur head down and continue the good work in next season’s Champions league.
wish you all the best in your coaching career.

We are proud of you. Congratulations and to God be the glory.

  • Abeg NFF do quick and extend invitation to african guardiola. Lets see what he can do different. Since Albania league is now top notch in european, so says the attention seekers

  • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

Better being a coach in the Albanian top division, wining the league or leading ones team out to compete in European competitions, than being a coach on twitter, supersport or in Night clubs. If the Nff is not a conclave of incompetent figure heads, these are the kinds of people who have proved themselves worthy and qualified to be on the technical team of our national teams. Hiring “beautiful gate” beggars, newspaper/internet noisemakers and twitter jobbers must be a better way to go than hiring people who have years of experience….. so says senseless scavengers (whose 1st time of hearing about player-coaches all their lives was from attention seekers) LMAO….!

    • Want to bring it to the attention of forumites, if i begin my insults now, some of you are quick to take sides, and will be called all sorts of names. Now your Dr Dry has started, will let this one slide, and if you want to go that route, no problem by me. So let those who are turning blind eyes to your comment, keep silent

“…So let those who are turning blind eyes to your comment, keep silent…”
So the Cheif Whip of CSN forum should carry cane and flog Dr.Drey for you abi….LMAO

        My comments appear toxic to you but who wrote this;
“….Abeg NFF do quick and extend invitation to african guardiola. Lets see what he can do different. Since Albania league is now top notch in european, so says the attention seekers…”

Those who live in glass house dont throw stones.

Begin your insults na…It wont come as a shock….of course that’s all you’ve ever offered CSN….insults and bling arguments.

If you also want to go that route too no problem…Kukute o mira jigi…eni mi kukute ara e lo n mi. You will show us where anybody mentioned your name in his comment.

  • Una won start?

  • You don’t have to call out my name, because your last statement was directed to the reply i made. Like i said i will let this slide, am not those that follow you blindly without doing there homework. Everyone is entitle to there opnion on this forum

    • Dr. Drey 4 years ago

…and who was your own comment directed to….??? Zeus…or Hercules…? I’l rather prefer sensible and intelligent people to “follow” me. If nobody sees you “good enough” to follow you, that is your own headache.
As you have said Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this forum…I’m also entitled to mine and its nobody’s headache if “people follow me blindly or ‘unblindly’..” based on my opinions. Like I too also said earlier if you also want to go that route too no problem….ko ko ko la b’ogun….kan kan kan la b’osa. Once again…Those who live in glass houses dont throw stones.
