Ndubuisi Egbo’s KF Tirana missed the chance to win the double this season following their 2-0 defeat to Teuta Durres in the Albanian Cup final on Sunday, Completesports.com reports.
It is now back-to-back final defeat for KF Tirana who also lost in the 2019 edition.
The last time they were crowned champions of the Albanian Cup was in 2017 and are the most successful with 16 titles.
A goal in each half from Rustem Hoxha and Lorenco Vila secured Teuta Durres’ first Cup title since 2005 and their fourth in their history.
Hoxha gave Teuta Durres the lead as early as the second minute before Vila made it 2-0 with 12 minutes left.
Egbo led Tirana to their 25th Albanian League title and will lead them to next season’s UEFA Champions League.
