Eguavoen: Eagles Will Play Attacking Football At AFCON 2021

Super Eagles interim coach, Austine Eguavoen has assured that he would adopt a more attacking football with the team at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Eguavoen, who is expected to lead the senior national team to the bi-annual tournament, stated this in an interview with Brila FM.

Recall that the three-time AFCON champions have been pitted alongside seven-time Nations Cup winner, Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau in Group D, with the team facing the Pharaohs on January 11.

However, an optimistic Eguavoen said that with the talented crop of players at his disposal, he would adopt an attacking style of football at the tournament.

We will play with 11, attack with 11 and defend with 11, that is the flexibility of 4-2-3-1. Let’s have a look of how it works, click on the link.

19 days to our match with Egypt and the coach is still giving press conferences. No team list except that the Super Eagles playing pattern will be 11-0-0. To cap all the chaos of having a consortium of coaches, ambassadors et al is having the sports minister playing super coach. Hhhhmmmmm.

    • Debo Muri 2 years ago

uMumu, the team list had been submitted before he was appointed as the interim coach. All he did was to appeal to caf to allow him effect some few changes. Caf has a constitution.

    • Saturday 2 years ago

Fool, the list was submitted before Eguavoen was appointed Head Coach of the Super Eagles. I think CAF constitution could still allow him to invite more players but that will be after CAF might have vetted the already submitted list.

    • Abbey 2 years ago

I doubt if Austin knows what he’s doing, the players he invited are questionable. What is Hamed Musa and Ighalo doing in that 28 men squad? When we have young strong agile players like Kevin Akpoguma and Calvin Bassey who both can add more strength to our defence, he invited a player named Ndah who only played 3 matches for Orlando pirates in South Africa and left Kevin Akpoguma who has already played 17matches for Hoffenheim in Germany and managed to school 3 goals for his club, despite he is a defender. This 2022 Afcon will put super eagles of Nigeria into a big shame as I doubt if we can get passed the group stage.

  • Nigerians will push eguaveon to play 442 by the time he loses they will be the 1st to say he is useless

Rohr formation was perfect for the team

Winning is all that matters if u like play to gallery like nig vs Italy in 94 world cup

  • Sean T 2 years ago

So no Dessers in the list ? Onuachu is injured. Dessers should take his space and even Kalu has not been playing for a long time. Nawa ooo

    • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

Even if you bring up your own list there’ll still be complains. I like the inclusion of Amoo, Lookman, Ejaria, Dennis and Sadiq. I think Sadiq is that guy that can bring the Kanuesque role back to the SuperEagles. He can hold up and brings others to play. This list has been compiled by Rohr since November 16 so there’s no cause for alarm let’s see how they can form a formidable team with an eye on the cup. #Glory in Yaoundé#

    • Chinenye 2 years ago

@sean T I guess it was public pressure that even made him include Emmanuel. Rohr was a broad day light criminal to Nigerian football. Dessers drop? And some dead woods were taken in his place?? E no better for that man

  • Footballfanatic 2 years ago

Can this man just move in a lil bit of silence and work on the task ahead lol…… He has been talking since he got the job but no list yet. According to a list I saw earlier John noble gets invited ahead of Adeleye this is just not fair…. Even Akpeyi should be dropped. Okoye and Uzoho are undisputed 1 and 2 but the third gk is on some sketchy shit

    • Saturday 2 years ago

You aren’t silly, are you? Coaches can only work within CAF time frame. That list was submitted before Coach Eguavoen was appointed. There is nothing he could have done till CAF approves of 37-man list and only then he could prone it down to 28. I think some of this things boils down to ignorance.

      • Footballfanatic 2 years ago

@Saturday….Dude I’m not stupid not to know there’s a deadline for submissions and I do know his predecessor submitted it before him. I am talking about who ever it was that chose Noble ahead of Adeleye up till now Noble hasn’t played any competitive match for Enyimba somehow come he gets the nod. Maybe your reading comprehension needs an upgrade cuz you talking about whatever boils down to ignorance without comprehending what I wrote

      • Footballfanatic 2 years ago

Point out where I blamed Eguavoen for the invitation of Noble…. Don’t be smart ass.

  • Bernard Ekele 2 years ago

On point Coach Eguavoen. Nigeria is known for attacking football that saw the likes of Elaho, Amunike, Babayaro and of late Aina, Tyrone, Ejuke mounting pressure on the wings while attacking and at the same time serving as a cover for the defense. Good luck The Super Eagles. Bern from Italy.

  • Omo9ja 2 years ago

@Ayphillydegreat, you can see on that list that Oga Rohr can never build us a team.

Why Ighalo and Akpeyi and why Dessers and Nwakali are missing on that list?

Thank God that he is not there anymore. I am expecting coach Eguavoen to do anything to have Dessers and Nwakali in Cameroon. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

Oga stop complaining about Rohr let’s see how Eguavoen can make them play tactically. Take it or leave it we have a team on ground for the next decade assembled by Rohr. The complaint is that he lacks pattern of play therefore, here are the same players he’s been using over his tenure let’s see how Eguavoen the tactical genius will make them play attacking football. I still believe in my SuperEagles irrespective of the coach. Even if Omo9ja is the one taking them to AFCON we already have a team on ground no excuses the cup must come back to Abuja and Lagos.

    • Dennis 2 years ago

@omo9ja a thread was posted couple of days ago were you lambasted eguavoen after the friendly against mexico, his style of play and said so many other things. Please, what has suddenly changed that you now call him Mr no nonsense, you now sing his praises to high heavens? Between handling us against Mexico till when he was appointed, did he take on any managerial duties and did excellently well that made you praise him suddenly?
I’ll wait for your rational answer. Thanks

      Eguavoen (has)

      • Oseodion Inegbenebor 2 years ago

Thanks M. Abbas. That’s the man with the magic band.

    • If you still hate this man after this video, then you need brain check, ride on eguavoen,we solidly behind you.

  • When you are done revealing all your plans to your opponents you will bring out your list.

You talk too much sir in my opinion. Why not keep quiet, perfect your strategies and surprise everybody.

Nigeria is not the only country going to afcon with crop of intelligent strikers.

It will shock you what other country will bring to table at afcon.

Talk less to press and work more off the scene.

With highly talented strikers you took to AF con 2006 we struggle to score alone goal against Ghana at the opening game and Senegal nearly beat us at third game if not the tireless obafemi.

    Please do your assignment well.

    • You guys now see why we liked Rhor’s approach to matches by being conservative with press conferences. He doesn’t talk too much. Compare that to loudspeaker Eguavoen, I wonder what he is trying to achieve with all this press conference here and there.

Honestly irritating. At Aphillydegreat, thanks for sharing that team list. Now we have an idea of our players. I am happy that Nwakali and sad that Dessers didn’t make that team.
But I believe our attacking options will deliver.

Also happy with the inclusion of Ejaria, Amoo and the others. Our work begins now. Eguavoen should even be in Abuja by now preparing to welcome his team and making sure they are in the right mindset to take Africa on at AFCON.
      Good Luck Super Eagles!

      • Respect is Reciprocal 2 years ago

What do you mean by tagging him loud speaker . What do you want him to do when he is being bombarded by the press don’t you know it’s just few days to Nation cup and the Nigerians want to know his plan about the tournament as the head coach this is what’s done in other countries .. when World Cup approach nearer you see press conference done by national teams coaches every now and then .
It’s shameful that some people would come up and be talking about a civilized attitude the coach is exhibiting. Your coach ROHR lacks confidence so he can not talk he is clueless. E quavering is doing the right thing by updating the people because our tax paying money will be used to pay his salary. I remembered your coach saying he has no good relationship with the press because Toyin Ibitoye was no longer there again. Yeye old man

        • There is a difference about exposing your ideas of his you intend to play vs tactically keeping quiet about your plans. Please reference where other coaches in our AFCON group are talking to the press the way Eguavoen is doing.

When I see one or two references in terms of articles, then I will understand your point.

So I await your posts referencing Egyptian coach talking to the press about his play ideas for AFCON as well as Sudan.

          We day wait.

          • RESPECT IS RECIPROCAL 2 years ago

ALL HE HAS SAID THAT PEOPLE WANT TO KILL HIM FOR IS NIGERIA WILL PLAY ATTACKING FOOTBALL. SO WHAT IS WRONG IN THAT . HOW ARE YOU EVEN SURE THE COACH IS GOING FOR ATTACKING FOOTBALL. NO RIGHT THINKING COACH WILL COME OUT AND SAY THEY WILL DEFEND . YOU KNOW WHY DIEGO SIMEON OF A.MADRID IS LESS RESPECTED ?IT IS BECAUSE HE PLAYS DEFENSIVE FOOTBALL . SO PLEASE AND PLEASE LEAVE THE GENTLE MAN ALONE HE IS DOING WHAT IS BEING PAID FOR.

          • Ben if you don’t have any meaningful contribution to make please kindly leave this forium.. na you Sabi pass the coach when you go tell am wetin to talk for press conference… Csn just need to screen some people… The other day you say na rohr talk persuade iwobi to come play for super eagles… What type of lie is that.. guy I beg just keep quiet for this forium some of una just dey find attention here……

    • In this era of internet, you still find space to lie? All the coaches are meeting the press in their various enclaves.

      GHANA COACH, AN HOUR AGO

Cameroonian coach is presently meeting BBC pressmen.

Read through Algerian sports news, the same thing. So why must Coach Eguavoen not meet the press?

      • Respect is Reciprocal 2 years ago

@Jide thanks for your response don’t mind the @Ben . He needs to see and hear outside the box.

        • 1 hour meeting abi, yet CSN is making it look like He is going around talking and talking.
So it’s an error from CSN and not Eguavoen talking on Grills FM, the Guardian Nigeria etc.

Ok sha, we are waiting for his scorecard.

    • So you remain the same intellect wise since last 15yrs? Why judge him base on 15yrs ago when he is still rookie coach? Let’s wish him and the team well pls.

Lmao we know those that genuinely wants the sE to succeed and the bitter leaf fc that wants them to fail because of their oxygen( Rohr) was removed as tge coach

  • _Eguavoen ’06 vs Rohr’s’ ’19 Afcon_

As we Super Eagles fans brace up for another Afcon installment where expectations are now mixed following the untimely yet welcomed sacking of underwhelming Gernot Rohr, I look ahead at what to expect from Eguavoen’s foot soldiers in Cameroon.

The NFF are rumoured to shortly engage the services of a Jose Mourinho-recommended Portuguese coach whose overall win ratio makes him seem less than a ‘chosen one’. That is a matter for another day but even at that, Eguavoen will lead the Super Eagles to the Afcon with the new coach expected to take over after the tournament.

Now, as a crystal ball to gauge what to expect from Eguavoen’s tutored side, I will juxtapose his 2006 Afcon coaching outing with Rohr’s 2019 installment to identify similarities, differences and tropes.

    _Comparisons_

1.Breezing Through Group Stage: the former Nigeria International belongs to this elite class of (very few) Super Eagles coaches to win all of their group stage matches in the Afcon when in 2006 he drew maximum points against Nigeria’s nemesis Ghana, Pig headed Zimbabwe and Stubborn and World Cup Quarter finalists Senegal. The less said about Rohr’s defeat to Madagascar in 2019 the better.

Afcon 2021: achieving maximum 9 points in a group that includes Mo Salah’s Egypt will be a tall order for Eguavoen this time around but one that will thrill and excite fans no less if the Interim Coach pulls it off.

    2. Deadly Substitutions: making effective substitutions was a hallmark of Eguavoen’s 2006 installment particularly in the group stages.

It is noteworthy that the Super Eagles won all group stage matches after Eguavoen made meaningful substitutions and tweaked his tactical constellations in all 3 matches. Games against Zimbabwe and Senegal saw the Super Eagles triumph after ravaging substitutes Mikel, Obodo and Kanu either scored or provided assists.

Making match-winning substitutions was never a staple of Rohr’s 2019 Afcon (or his entire tenure for that matter) but Ighalo did combine with Aina to score a beauty after coming on against Burundi in the group stages.

Afcon 2021: all I can say to Eguavoen is, ‘more match winning substitutions in Cameroon please’!

    3. Goals Galore in Group Stage: ‘all we are saying, give us more goals’ has become an anthem of us Super Eagles fans over the years and Eguavoen delivered the goods on thal level in the 2006 Afcon at the group phase. Nigeria scored 5 goals across the first 3 games in 2006 (against stronger oppositions) whereas Gernot Rohr’s ever-young team managed a meagre 2 goals in 3 games (against lightweights) in the 2019 tournament in a largely forgettable manner.

2021 Afcon: my message to Eguavoen for the group stages is, ‘all we are saying, give us more goals than 2019!’

    4. Slow Starters: this is an area where Rohr’s Super Eagles in 2019 actually surpassed Eguavoen’s 2006 ward. In all bar one game, the Super Eagles picked up the pace and started scoring after 55 minutes in 2006. They were often slow out of the blocks and struggled to string meaningful passes together early in some matches – something they narrowly got away with against Senegal in the nail biting group stage encounter but paid for dearly against Drogba’s Ivory Coast in the semi final agonising slim loss.

After that 1:0 defeat, Coach Eguavoen said: “We did not play well, this was our worst game at this tournament and we were clearly outplayed in all departments by our opponents.”

Rohr’s Super Eagles, on their part, scored early against Cameroon, South Africa and Tunisia all in the knockout stages.

2021 Afcon : I will implore Eguavoen to borrow a leaf out of Rohr’s books so that the Super Eagles can avoid a painful loss akin to that against Ivory Coast in 2006.

    5. Serial Semi-finalists: both Eguavoen and Rohr did more to perpetuate Nigeria’s reputation as Afcon chronic semi-finalists after managing boring bronze medals with arguably affluent, buoyant and well-gifted squads.

In the history of the tournament, Nigeria have the record of reaching the semi-finals 15 times only to lift the trophy on just 3 of those occasions – something Eguavoen and Rohr failed to improve upon.

2021 Afcon: all I can say to Mr Eguavoen is ‘we fans are tired of bronze medals o!’

As NFF Technical Director prior to his appointment as interim coach of the Super Eagles, Eguavoen is not entirely new to this group of players. Though his appointment is untimely, that should not stand in his way of him making a success of his appointment in Cameroon next year.

He is enthusiastic and positive about the challenges ahead and he has pedigree. So, I expect him to deliver the goods across several levels in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

I gbadun your analysis, Deo. Nice one.
Although not a world class coach, Eguavoen can do a decent job if he’s given the necessary backing by the NFF. The big question is: WILL THAT HAPPEN? WILL THE INCOMPETENT, INEPT NFF ONIGBESE PROVE TO BE AN ASSET OR A LIABILITY IN OUR QUEST TO WIN AFCON FOR THE 4TH TIME?
The other thing I’m worried about is Eguavoen’s tactical flexibility. When 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 fail, does he have other alternatives?
How do I feel about our Afcon chances? GUARDED OPTIMISM.

      • Guarded Optimism: that is a new one for me. Thanks Pompei. I also wish the team well.

I just saw the team list sent by Rohr and all I can say is that thank God Rohr is gone. Really! Noble ahead of adeleye. I like moffi but based on form, he should not be ahead of dessers. On the flip side ,thank God he picked lookman , ejaria , sadiq and amoo.

  • It’s like some people are confused their own was not appointed.

  • Ako AMADI 2 years ago

Glad to read Cerezo opting for attacking football. Under Rohr the Super Eagles often went into defensive mode, which is not in the Nigerian’s mentality

  • JimmyBall 2 years ago

…but analysing that list seriously, you see the nonsense that has been happening in Nigeria national team for five years. How can you name a squad of 37/40 Nigerian players and Cyril Dessers is not in the list? Rohr took money from Odion Ighalo to recall him back, Ighalo’s spot is supposed to be for Cyril Dessers, I will suggest Cyril Dessers be named in the squad for Osimhen if it is confirmed Osimhen would be eligible due to his injury… it is very sad what Nigeria is doing to Cyril Dessers. Gernot Rohr is really a sad human being… imagine Peter Olayinka not even in the squad… Players who should not even be on the 40man list… Moffi( He is not yet ripe for Eagles and have not done anything this season), Samuel Kalu(His season has been nothing to write home about… does not deserve to go to Cameroon), Ighalo should never have been recalled… I dont care if he scores hattrick every match in Saudi League… any squad going to Camerron should have Awoniyi and Dessers on it, then you pick other players!!!

Peter Olayinka and Cyril Dessers together with Awoniyi and Dennis are Nigerian forwards doing so well at club. Sentiments won’t ever allow us mine forward in life… What is Iheanacho doing this season? We just like to select team with sentiments… Iheanacho who is often put in midfield in Super Eagles list has been largely idle this season… It is not by playing in premier league… A player like Peter Olayinka brings more to a team than average Iheanacho and Dessers and Awoniyi have certainly done better than Iheanacho this season… I won’t even mention Emmanuel Dennis… that one is obvious for all to see!

If that list from owngoal is true, then I am totally disappointed with Rohr and whoever he was taking advice from. They never meant well for Nigeria football. Dessers, Adeleye not in a list of 37 while Noble in? UNBELIEVABLE.

    • JimmyBall 2 years ago

Dessers was badly treated by Rohr… despite being a special player. The amount of destruction Rohr did to players careers is unimaginable, with his usual sit in France and stroll to Nigeria only days to a match… He killed a lot of players international careers… Who is unaware of Peter Olayinka’s exploit in Czech League and Europe the last three consecutive seasons? Yet he hardly gets his mention… Nigeria is a country full of wicked and malicious lots who sit in high places and victimize people deserving merit… Samuel Kalu will make Rohr list of 40players despite being ignominious at Bordeaux and Peter Olayinka who is a majestic hustler on the field with lots of results to show for the last 3 consecutive seasons but in his league and Europe won’t even get a mention in a 40man list for Nigeria…

And being outspoken and being a talkative are two different things. “Your own” whom am sure has some political connection too, falls under the category of the latter while MAZI CLEMENT WESTAHOLF is for the former.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

Wow the “let us fail with our own” family now have a legal adviser in the person of @Femi. LMAO!!! Remember no excuse o. So good luck.

    • pompei 2 years ago

Ndi Let Us Fail With Our Own, members of the esteemed LUFWOO social club, under the leadership of the indefatigable Omo9ja,
you all need to change your club slogan.
The overriding objective is that we need the Afcon trophy.
Rohr was sacked, and Eguavoen hired, to improve our chances of winning the trophy.
So that remains the target. We are not interested in failing with anybody.
      We need the trophy.

    • Me I’m not for falling with our own ooo, my point is simple, support the new coach and accept the fact Rorh era has come and gone. We move.

  • Kingston 2 years ago

Please, let me say something about this Cyril desser. Since Rohr’s sack I’ve refused to comment but this desser issue needs to be settled.
Let me go straight to the point: how good is Cyril desser? Half of you calling for his call up don’t watch his games. Fans can be interesting. Is it the desser that’s struggling to start games in the Netherland league – Netherland! All his four consecutive league goals were as subs, yet the coach still don’t have enough faith to start him at important games. This is the same league that both desser and ejuke dominated during covid year and entered team of the year. But what happened when they left? Ejuke struggled in Russia in his first season, didn’t even score up to six goals. And for desser, onuachu bench him to cameo role. So, I ask again, which desser? And why should he be ahead of the likes of sadiq, awoniyi and moffi?
In another trend, somebody was complaining why rohr didn’t utilize okereke David. What is all this nonsense? Is it the one that played in gent and wasn’t even starting. The best the coach allowed him was play him as a winger here, as a side midfielder there – and he is a striker! Now you may ask, “why wasn’t he invited though now playing in Italy”? Simple: because super eagles don’t play club football. Not every Dick and Harry that score in the weekend will immediately be integrated. It doesn’t work that way. What has been the fate of all who had been? I’m taking about the likes of players jimmyball didn’t want us to rest for: junior ajayi, iwula, nwakali, moffi. Lol. One is currently a free agent; one has not been heard of since he tasted real football against Mexico and eventually moved to North Africa; one can’t not even dominate a second division league; and another is currently having a goal drought.
But hey, silly me, what about olayinka? That’s the point: nowhere!
Seriously, I wanted super eagles to win afcon under rohr. I like the man. However, my loyalty is not to rohr but to whoever is at the reins – as long he is producing good results. Because at the end of the day that’s what matter. Not our playing style. No. Not how we defended together and attacked together. I must admit though, theses factors make football interesting to watch. But I ask, o logical men, what has “interesting” achieved for us? Okocha against Italy in world cup completed 15 successful dribbles – the highest in world cup tournaments of all time. But did we win the match? Obviously not. Heck, is super eagles the best African team to have reached the highest level in the world cup? Still no. What about afcon? We boasted of the likes of kanu, martins, yakubu, and osaze, etc. Players that could win matches by the magic and wonder of their feet. But alas, do we hold the highest number of afcon titles? Again and again, the answer is no. Lol, we’ve won three, the highest is seven. How on earth do we hope to cover that gap in the next ten to fifteen years. Especially considering nff as a factor.
So my every good friends, I ask again, what do we need? Interesting football or result-oriented football? Please, Eguaoven, we the fans are behind you- bring the trophy home! Because that’s what matter.

    • SD Special Delivery Jones 2 years ago

Don’t mind him @Chima. Can you imagine somebody surprised that fans are calling for Okereke. Is Okereke not one of the best strikers in Italy.

SMH the guy shock me seriously maybe he’s not been following our players exploit.

Oga the dude is expressing himself Why don’t you make yours or rather overlook without being offensive and using vulgar terms…Them swear for una?

  • LET US FAIL WITH OUR OWN 2 years ago

Which name again? Have you forgotten y’all choose this curse name as mottor(all Eguavon supporters)?

    • LET US FAIL WITH OUR OWN 2 years ago

So as soon as the motor is achieved, the name will seize to exist. But all you Eguavon supporters are free to use it though. It’s your name.

  • WE WILL NOT FAIL WITH OUR OWN 2 years ago

Amanju Pinnick is the best thing to happen to our football administration irrespective of what ppl say and that’s normal because ppl always tend to forget. My prayer is for cerezo to win this cup so we can go to the world cup WITH OUR OWN

  • Let us fail with our own vs we will not fail with our own.

Una do well, when is not even sure whether Eguavoen will lead se to afcon going by pinnick recent statement.

No wonder Eguavoen keeps talking may be somebody has hinted the man that your leading se to afcon like when Joshua finally leads isrealite to promise land is not guarantee.

So keep talking now and let Nigerian hear your strategies may be we could see one or two ppl that we stand up for you.

All I see about this drama that is gradually unfolding is not about joy of se fans anyway but about the materialisation of some individual agenda.

    Notice! Notice!! Notice!!!

The attention of the “LET US FAIL WITH OUR OWN” Social Club has been drawn to news of a new faction in this forum, “WE MUST NOT FAIL WITH OUR OWN”. Please for now We only have 2 faction. 1: The Rohr faction. And the most credible and powerful 2: LET US FAIL WITH OUR OWN. ( The eguavon faction) Please disregard any other than the 2 listed. They are fraud and fake. They are bent on destroying all the effort of our founding fathers (JimmyBall and Omo9ja) in making sure that we achieve our set goal which is to rather fail with our own than to succeed with rohr in the coming Afcon. Once again disregard them so you don’t attract further curses from them. Thanks! Sign: The Secretary.

onye nzuzu, in your mind, you have made sense. What you put out here is nothing but an expression of frustration. Not even related to the write-up. Don’t forget this column is widely read. Is Eguavoen capable of leading Super Eagles?

      • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

You better go find something better to do? Frustration is by the way side everyone get frustrated at one point or the other on a daily basis so you have absolutely no point there. Wetin concern agbero with overload?? Lmao!! Oga park well. If you’ve been reading my comments you should be able to comprehend that I don’t give a hoot as long as the SuperEagles are successful. #Bring home the AFCON again#

  • WE MUST NOT FAIL WITH OUR OWN 2 years ago

    TO WHOM IT DOESN’T CONCERN
As we speak, a lawsuit is being filed challenging the legitimacy of the above LUFWOO notice.
The party bringing the suit, the plaintiff hereinafter known as WE MUST NOT FAIL WITH OUR OWN are adamant that failure at the Afcon with our own, or anybody else for that matter, is not an option.
The officials of the LET US FAIL WITH OUR OWN social club have been served notice accordingly. If they have not received the notice, this statement suffices as a notice.
The Rohr faction has been dissolved with the dismissal of Rohr, and is no longer a legitimate entity. Any relationship with the Rohr faction is no longer legally binding, and all contracts and agreements drawn post Rohr are null and void.
Once again, the veracity and legitimacy of the above notice is being challenged in the courts.
Rely on the above notice at your own risk.
As for Eguavoen, he has publicly denounced LUFWOO and disassociated himself from the social club. His goals do not align with LUFWOO. He has threatened to aggressively litigate any attempt to associate him with LUFWOO going forward.
    THE CUP IS COMING HOME.
    Aluta continua.

‘As for Eguavoen’ indeed, hu hu hu…. So he had so much time to put out a lengthy nonsense to be convincing. Lol! ‘Coach’ Eguavoen.

  • Vincent 2 years ago

They said it is O.P and you are happy living it. Why not write a textbook on confusion?

I would rather the S. Eagles play 433, that gives a solid defense, moderate midfield and electrifying forward.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

@Pompei We will challenge that suit of “No Rohr faction”. But how can Eguavon deny his club “LUFWOO”, when he is the grand patron? LMAO!!!

    • Jude Coker 2 years ago

Monkey, it is obvious you can’t compete. Calling out handles is a clear indication of holding on to a straw. Read Alphonsus Gbefumu below.

  • Pius Obemhen 2 years ago

@Jude Coker, may be one of the condition na to convince we, ha ha ha, I no even fit laff my yash off. Okpe mututu must comment O.P.

The Nigerian Head Coach is concerned about flair in play, something which players inherently possess, which makes every facet of their game stylish and elegantly scoring great goals, is what ‘Coach’ Eguavoen is talking about. That which come with 11 in 11 out.

  • Alphonsus Gbefumu 2 years ago

    @Pompie:
Me self dey observe the thread only to a total degeneration or with the assumption you can’t even compete and decided to grab the straw. This is supposed to be
a relaxation point na. Really, it calls for circumspect. You are a Nigerian, and don’t even have regards for your Coach, nawao!
We clamoured for entertainment games, here a coach is bringing confident, pacy, skilled and menacing at full pelt, whether it’s in breaking into some step-overs or executing mazy dribbles, he’s planning to do all that for our delight.
And you are out there tying silly stuffs. Compete by typing if you are game.

I doubt if Austin knows what he’s doing, the players he invited are questionable. What is Hamed Musa and Ighalo doing in that 28 men squad? When we have young strong agile players like Kevin Akpoguma and Calvin Bassey who both can add more strength to our defence, he invited a player named Ndah who only played 3 matches for Orlando pirates in South Africa and left Kevin Akpoguma who has already played 17matches for Hoffenheim in Germany and managed to score 3 goals for his club, despite he is a defender. This 2022 Afcon will put super eagles of Nigeria into a big shame as I doubt if we can get passed the group stage.
