Emery: Iwobi Will Get Better With More Hard Work

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has stated that he is happy with the performance of Alex Iwobi this season but insisted the Nigeria winger can still become a better player, completesports.com reports.

Iwobi who penned a long term deal with the Gunners before the start of the campaign has been one of the key performers for the North London club this season.

He has scored two goals and contributed three assists in his last 10 appearances for the club.

“I am very happy and I think he is working a lot for improving and he has energy, he has quality, he has things to improve. But he can do that,”Emery told Arsenal’s official website.

“For us, we have to be demanding with him and he himself being demanding to improve the things that he can get better at in his qualities.

” When he’s getting into the attacking third, into the box, to be calm to decide the last action with assist and scoring more.

“But he is giving us a lot of attacking moments and opening space for other players when they are arriving to the ball.”

Meanwhile, Iwobi will be assessed ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

The winger limped out of the Gunners 2-0 win against Southampton last Sunday after picking up a knock.

Arsenal released a statement on their injured players on their official website on Tuesday.

On Iwobi, they wrote: ”Knock to right ankle. Being assessed ahead of Bournemouth (h)”.

In my opinion, Iwobi is one of the best players in the entire premier league this season. If Iwobi can just become more clinical in his finishing, then he would become one of the very best in the world.
