England Sim Fantasy (ESF) Season Summary

England Sim Fantasy (ESF) Season Summary

We are now nearing the half-way point of the season, with 15 rounds of England Sim Fantasy wrapped and ready. The next stage will bring us to the Boxing Day and NYE periods, always fun, with lots of rotation in the squads and unpredictable results.

Manchester City still lead the way with 38 points but can already feel Liverpool breathing down their necks, just a single point behind. These two appear to be running away with the title chase, since Tottenham, currently 3rd, is already a few points away, with 30. The fight for the Champions League spots couldn’t be tigher with the Spurs (30), Arsenal (29), Man United (29), Leicester (29), Chelsea (27), Everton (26) and Wolves (26) just within a single game difference. On the other side of the table, Newcastle (7) and Brighton (7) appear to be in a difficult place and falling behind the rest of the competition.

The Dream Team of the Season so far is shaped in a 3-4-3 and features players from 5 different clubs. City and Liverpool take 3 spots each, Arsenal and Chelsea get in with 2 a piece and Tottenham closes out the remaining spot to fill this restricted side. Salah has carved out a big lead in the race for MVP of the season with 107 points so far. Liverpool’s #11 has been stellar so far, so much that the 2nd best performer (Aubameyang) is already 16 points behind. What a start from the Egyptian King.
