England Sim Fantasy – Gameweek 31-35 Highlights

The week that saw us move from Gameweek 31 to Gameweek 35 of England Sim Fantasy was a knockout one, with thrills and chills every day.

Liverpool started the week with a victory vs. Bournemouth, remaining undefeated after 31 games, Mahrez proved once again that maybe he deserves more credit than Pep gives him in a City win and Tottenham was back to winning after 4 dire games! Leicester consolidated third place, after a narrow win over Brighton.

In GW32, Tottenham had a crazy win at West Ham, a goalfest that resulted in a 4-3 for the visitors. Also, Leicester’s third victory in a row was on display and Danny Ings brace inspired in-form Southampton to defeat Brighton.

Liverpool’s victory raised their tally to 82 points and kept a gap of 5 points to second-placed Manchester City. Liverpool’s home win against Southampton moved them 7 points clear at the top, on Round 33. The Reds took advantage of the favour City handed them and the Premier League title looked closer than ever at the time. Jahanbakhsh’s crucial goal gave Brighton a precious win over West Ham. On the other hand, Manchester United’s season hit a new low with 2–1 loss to Newcastle. For the Magpies, the battle to avoid relegation was intensifying…

Gameweek 34 had one of the biggest results of the season, with Wolverhampton’s amazing victory versus Liverpool. The reigning European Champions had been undefeated in its first 33 league games and, with Man City beating Brighton, the gap narrowed at the top of the Premier League table.

To close out another week of #EnglandSimFantasy, GW35 saw Liverpool lose points again, drawing with Leicester. The Foxes helped City close out the gap even more, now with only two points separating the contenders with three rounds left to play.

The Dream Team of the block between GW31 and GW35 is formed in a 3-5-2 tactical display and 9 different clubs are represented. Man United and Wolves lead the way with 2 players a piece, while Burnley, Everton, Leicester, Liverpool, Man City, Sheffield United and Tottenham all provide 1 player each.

Harry Kane dominated this week, and took home the MVP award, with a spectacular score of 46 fantasy points in 5 games. The Spurs and England striker was trully in form, with 9 goals in these 5 rounds, including a hat-trick along the way. Sublime!
