Enyimba will be desperate to end their winless start to the 2026/27 EUROMATCH Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season when they host Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in Aba on Wednesday.
The People’s Elephant have endured a difficult opening, picking up just one point from their first four games – including a 2-1 defeat to Niger Tornadoes on Matchday 1 and a goalless draw with Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium last weekend.
That run leaves the nine-time league champions bottom of the table, while 3SC have have six points from four games and are in 16th spot.
The fixture was originally scheduled for Matchday 2 but was postponed indefinitely by the NPFL to allow 3SC focus on their CAF Confederation Cup tie against CS Sfaxien.

History favours Enyimba at home. The last time both sides met in Aba in December 2025, Enyimba thrashed the Oluyole Warriors 3-0, but 3SC got their revenge just weeks later with an identical 3-0 win in Ibadan in January 2026.
Enyimba technical adviser Emmanuel Deutsch had earlier said there was “no fire on the mountain” despite the slow start, insisting the home game must be a victory for the fans in Aba.
With Barau FC currently leading the league and teams like Rangers and Plateau United building momentum, Enyimba know another slip could see them cut adrift early.
Meanwhile, other rescheduled fixtures will see Katsina United host Rivers United, Sporting Lagos entertain Ikorodu City and Warri Wolves battle Enugu Rangers.
