Espanyol want to sign midfielder Samuel Darpoh from AmaZulu, according to the South African outfit’s general manager. The defensive midfielder is a target for the La Liga side with AmaZulu official Qedi Dlamini telling the Daily Sun they have had contact from Espanyol regards a future transfer deal.

Dlamini was quoted as saying: “There’s something from Espanyol. It is their wish.” The Ghana-born star has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the top-flight South African side this term, without yet registering a goal, but he’s highly regarded and could make the move to Europe this summer.
The 21-year-old was recently offered a three-year deal by AmaZulu but has yet to put pen to paper, further strengthening claims Espanyol will secure his services when the transter window opens.
