Eto’o Urges Indomitable Lions To Fight For World Cup Title At Qatar 2022

Cameroonian legend, Samuel Eto’o has urged the Indomitable Lions to to go Qatar and fight to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Completesports.com reports.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held from the 20th of November to the 18th of December.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have qualified for eight editions of the FIFA World Cup finals; in 1982, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010, 2014, and 2022.

Eto’o, who is also the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) took to his Twitter handle to motivate the Indomitable Lions to go all the way and win the World Cup in Qatar.

“During last week’s General Assembly, we came together to discuss the road ahead for Cameroonian football. We must seize every opportunity, nationally and internationally. We’ve made it to the World Cup, not to play extras but to dominate all 7 matches and bring home the trophy,” Eto’o, a former Indomitable Lions captain tweeted.

Eto’o, a four-time African Footballer of The Year, represented Cameroon at four FIFA World Cup finals; in 1998, 2002, 2010, and 2014. At the age of 17 years and three months, he was the youngest player at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France alongside England’s Michael Owen.

Cameroon have advanced from the Group Stage in the World Cup only once, precisely at the Italia’90 edition. It was in the same edition that they reached the quarter-finals.

Senegal, at Korea-Japan 2002 and Ghana at South Africa 2010, are the two other African nations that have reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup.

Indomitable Lions are in Group G of Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside Brazil, Serbia, and Switzerland.

And what is BAD about DREAMING TALL?

You see that is the difference between an FA led by an EX FOOTBALLER who has been there and done that and FEARS no OPPONENT whether it is a TEAM that has 2 of LIONEL MESSI in them to an FA led by a FORMER FISHERMAN in WARRI
