Shooting Stars assistant coach Ali Kandil has expressed frustration after his side surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Ikorodu City in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 10 clash at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
The Oluyole Warriors looked to be cruising to a rare away victory after early goals from Taofeek Otaniyi and Desmond Ojietefian put them 2-0 up.

However, a resilient Ikorodu City mounted a second-half comeback, with Donald Obiajulu scoring twice to rescue a share of the spoils for the hosts.
Speaking after the match, Kandil admitted that the team had enough opportunities in the first half to put the game to bed before injuries forced defensive adjustments.

“That’s football; if you have few chances and you don’t take them, then you will regret it at the end of the day,” Kandil said.
“We should have been three or four goals up in the first half, but that’s football. We had to adjust to some injuries. It’s an away point, and we have to take that.”
