Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) will be eager to return to winning ways when they host Ranchers Bees in Friday’s Matchday 9 EUROMATCH NPFL fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
The Oluyole Warriors, who are winless in their last five matches, are in a difficult spell as they have managed just two wins, two draws and four defeats in eight games so far, occupying 17th on the table with eight points.
Their poor form has already led to tension in Ibadan. Technical Adviser Salisu Yusuf was booed by fans after recent outings, forcing the club management led by Executive Chairman Hon. Taiwo Lekan-Salami to hold a stakeholders meeting to calm supporters.
Defender Adelowo Gbolagade has appealed for patience, admitting the team feels the anger and frustration of the fans.

“We know this is a difficult moment, and we understand your anger, disappointment and frustration,” he wrote. “We are not giving up… Your support means everything to us.”
Ranchers Bees are not in better shape either. The newly promoted side are 16th with eight points from eight games — two wins, two draws and four losses, with nine goals scored.
For 3SC, this home tie against a fellow struggler is seen as a must-win to avoid slipping further into the relegation battle and to restore confidence before a tough run that includes Enyimba and Kano Pillars.
