Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Bendel Insurance have secured a major commercial boost with Premium Trust Bank becoming their new front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2025/26 NPFL season.
In a post on the X handle of Broadcaster For NPFL Nino, Bendel Insurance will now wear the Premium Trust Bank logo on the front of their iconic yellow and green kits, replacing Sterling Bank who had been the club’s front shirt partner since 2021.
Sterling Bank made history in 2021/22 with the first-ever N50m private shirt sponsorship of a Nigerian club when Insurance were in the NNL, later raising it to N75m after promotion. That deal had run until this season.
The deal comes at a time when Bendel Insurance are pushing for a title charge after their 2023 Federation Cup triumph ended a 43-year trophy drought. According to NPFL sponsorship tracker for 2026/27, Insurance were one of seven clubs still without a front-shirt sponsor until now.

An official unveiling of the new Premium Trust Bank branded jerseys is expected in Benin in the coming days.
Premium Trust Bank has become Nigeria’s most sports-centric bank – headline sponsor of the National Sports Festival (Ogun 2024 and Enugu 2026), sponsor of Bayelsa Queens, official kit sponsor for NPFL referees and Match Commissioners, and partner of Team Nigeria athletes Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume.
