Niger Tornadoes technical adviser Kabiru Dogo has attributed his side’s 1-0 defeat to Nasarawa United to a lapse in concentration.
The Solid Miners suffered a narrow defeat in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 6 encounter at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday.
Centre-back Harrison Ebah scored the decisive goal in the 20th minute, unleashing a powerful effort from about 35 yards that beat Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper Jerry Isaac.
Dogo Rues Defeat To Nasarawa United
Dogo admitted that his team’s momentary loss of concentration proved costly.
“Congratulations to Nasarawa United. Both teams did very well, but my team lost concentration and were punished by United,” Dogo said.
“I wish both teams well going forward.”
The victory moved Nasarawa United up to 13th position on the NPFL table with seven points, while Niger Tornadoes dropped to 17th place.
Niger Tornadoes will return to action at home against Kun Khalifat FC, while Nasarawa United will travel to Ibadan to face Shooting Stars in their next NPFL fixture.
