Nigerian champions Rangers International have announced that defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi has successfully undergone surgery, Completesports.com reports.
The Flying Antelopes confirmed the development in a brief statement on their X account.
“Ifeanyi Onyebuchi has successfully undergone his scheduled procedure,” the club wrote.
“We wish him a smooth and speedy recovery as he begins the rehabilitation process. The entire Rangers family stands firmly behind him and looks forward to seeing him back on the pitch.”

Onyebuchi sustained the injury during Rangers’ Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, clash against Bendel Insurance, ruling him out of the 2024 African Nations Championship.
The dependable centre-back subsequently underwent treatment and rehabilitation and recovered sufficiently to return to action.
However, he aggravated the injury during a pre-season fixture in August, necessitating the latest surgical procedure.
Rangers will now hope Onyebuchi makes a full and speedy recovery as he begins another rehabilitation programme.
