Europa League: Ighalo In Action, Moses Benched As Man United, Inter Milan Win, Advance Into Q/Finals

Odion Ighalo was in action for Manchester United who qualified for the quarter-final of this season’s Europa League, following a 2-1 comeback win against Austrian club LASK in the second-leg round of 16 clash on Wednesday at Old Trafford, Completesports.com reports.

United qualify 7-1 on aggregate after winning the first-leg 5-0, with Ighalo featuring for 90 minutes in the game which was his fourth in the Europa League this season.

Philipp Wiesinger opened scoring for LASK 10 minutes into the second half before Jesse Lingard drew United level on 57 minutes.

And with two minutes remaining in the game Anthony Martial got the second goal for the Red Devils.

In the other round of 16 tie which was decided in Germany in a single-leg format, Victor Moses was benched as Inter Milan beat Getafe 2-0 to progress into the last eight.

Romelu Lukaku put Inter 1-0 ahead on 33 minutes while Christian Eriksen made it 2-0 in the 83rd minute.

Jorge Molina had the chance to equalise for Getafe but missed a 76th minute penalty.

United will take on Danish side Copenhagen in the quarter-final and Inter will face either Rangers or Bayer Leverkusen.

In the two games played earlier on Wednesday, Copenhagen thrashed Istanbul Basaksehir, without Azubuike Okechukwu, 3-0 and Shakhtar also trounced Wolfsburg 3-0.
