Frank Lampard has revealed Everton have a budget to spend this month and refused to be drawn on speculation linking the club with a move for Aston Villa striker, Danny Ings.
Ings has been touted as a loan option for the Toffees in the January transfer window.
In a news conference, Lampard seemed unwilling to state whether or not Ings would be joining his team in January.
“I’m not going to talk about Danny Ings, obviously you talked about a loan, or obligations or buying players,” LiverpoolEcho quoted Lampard as saying.
“We want to improve the squad in January, we help the squad. My job has to be first and foremost working with the players we have here now, and how we get a result against Manchester United or Southampton.”
Ings has got six goals in 17 Premier League games this season.
