Everton Interested In Super Eagles Defender Sanusi

Super Eagles left-back, Zaidu Sanusi, has been linked to Premier League club Everton this summer window.

With the Toffees relegation battle last term, head coach Frank Lampard will surely need to add reinforcements to bolster his squad.

Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny departed the club making it necessary for a new defensive acquisition.

And according to Portugese newspaper www.record.pt, Everton are one of the many clubs vying for his signature.

The 25-year-old has already been linked to other Premier League sides like Crystal Palace, Fulham and Brighton.

Sanusi was impressive for FC Porto last season with 1.3 tackles,1.2 interceptions and won 3.5 duels per game.

If he eventually signs for the club, Sanusi will be joining his compatriot Alex Iwobi who moved to the club from Arsenal in 2019

Sanusi scored three goals from 40 appearances in all competitions for FC Porto last season.

He scored the crucial goal which clinched the title for Porto on the last day of the season.

What’s with these low balling teams and offers for Sansui, he is playing champions league football. All these lower level teams are disrespectful and a step down. Same with Aribo and Bassey, they should leave their European competing team for aston villa, just because they played under Gerard. This is a joke. Its on his merit, why would he join a team that was battling relegation? And the team had Iwobi. They tried to do the same with Awoniyi when he did well on his loan with union. Teams like west brom, fullham and stoke were interested with him. He opoted for union that were in the uefa conference league. Players need to stop moving backwards and only move forward

If aribo and bassey gets a move to any mid table epl team I will tag it a good move but if sanusi happens to make such move it’s a huge step down for me

He should remain with porto and if he wish to move he should be targeting bigger clubs than porto like any of the top 6 clubs in the epl,any of the top 3 in laliga, serie, bundesliga or French champions psg
