Everton Seek To Lure Dennis From Club Brugge

Everton have been linked with a move for Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis.

The striker impressed against Manchester United in the Europa League in midweek, and has continued to make a name for himself on the continent since scoring a brace against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu last year.

FootMercato, cited by HITC, has credited the Blues, Southampton and Crystal Palace with interest in the 22-year-old in the past.

Meanwhile, reports in Belgium have linked the Nigeria international with Newcastle United, Sheffield United, Brighton and Watford with HLN claiming he could be available for £21.5m.

And Nigeria legend Sunday Oliseh has taken to Twitter, backing the striker for a big-money move to one of Europe’s top leagues.

I heard that Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Dennis. And that does not surprise me. His performances recently for his club, especially in the champions league, have been just as solid as Osimhen’s exploits in the French Ligue 1. The way he harrassed the Real Madrid defense at home and away was perhaps what caught the eye of the clubs that are now pursuing him. He gave Sergio Ramos a rough time! Currently, we’ve got a plethora of deadly strikers – Osimhen, Dennis, Dessers, Iheanacho, Akpom, Sadiq Umar, Lookman. Osimhen is the fans’ favorite, for obvious reasons. It is left for Rohr to select which of them he wants in his squad.
With so much quality available, it seems a shame that we can only play one striker at at time. We should be looking at playing 2 strikers in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 system. Imagine Osimhen upfront with Dennis, Dessers, or Iheanacho?
