Former Arsenal midfield star Francis Coquelin has thanked Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze for his role in helping him get his first goal for Villareal, Completesports.com reports.
Coquelin who joined Villareal from Valencia in the current transfer window, got his first goal in just one minute of his debut game for the Yellow Submarine in their 2-0 win against Real Sociedad on Wednesday night.
The French man opened the scoring after following the assist from Chukwueze from the right wing.
And reflecting on his first goal Coquelin took to his Twitter handle to express his gratitude to Chukwueze.
“Good victory and great work from the whole team. We keep improving. Happy to score my first goal. Thank you ‘Chuku Chuku’ Chukwueze for the assist.”
Chukwueze was on target for Villareal in their 2-1 defeat to Valencia last week Friday.
