Njitap is said to have experienced a huge emotional shock following the discovery.

His wife had claimed that the twins, who were born in June 2008 (four years before their marriage), were his which motivated them to get married,

But he has now been left stunned by the revelations, saying that his wife psychologically damaged him.

Njitap played for Chelsea between 2003 and 2007, during which time he won two Premier League titles.

The 45-year-old played for Real Madrid and had a loan spell at Middlesbrough before later playing for Newcastle.
