  • Coach Peseiro, give Igho Ogbu a chance!
In case, you are not aware, he has served this country at the youth level.
He is not a charity case, rather his case is that of a player whose career is on the upward trajectory.
If you truly practice meritocracy in player-invitation, then Igho Ogbu alongside Nathan Tella should be included on the list of invitees.

Close to 70 comments on Peserio’s squad list for Saudi and Mozambique thread…..not one comment about Kenneth Omeruo blocking the space for “younger” CBs like Ogbu, Awaziem, Izuchukwu, Gabriel Osho, Ndah, Benjamin Frederick, Ozornwafor, etc.

Of course, Kenneth Omeruo is not Ibrahim Garba Danladi, a Muslim from Jigawa State in Northern Nigeria.

But when it is time to mask their tribal and religious bigotry with some fake “altruistic desire for the progress of the SE”, that is when they will remember that Ahmed Musa is blocking the space for 6 CFs, 5 wingers, 3 DMs, 2 full backs and 1 GK……LMAOoo.

I don’t know how 1 man can block the space of a dozen players….LMAOoo. I was expecting all dozen players Musa was blocking from the SE to be in the team now in his absence in the last 2 games or thereabout….LMAOoo

Igho Ogbu by far has been the most consistent Nigerian CB in European Competitions this season (Alongside Troost Ekong), scoring 2 goals or thereabout already, but the “we don’t want old players in the SE” bunch will never remember that a certain real-aged circa 40yr old Kenneth Omeruo has remained a fringe, non influential, slow and most-times-than-none calamitous CB in the SE since after he got injured at the 2014 World cup and “has nothing special to offer again”.

So much for their deceptive fallacious altruism…LMAOoo

    • Ogbu is a good central defender with lots of quality………He has the quality to play in the Laliga,Lique1,SerieA, Bundeliga or even the EPL from what I have seen in him…….Omerua and Ekong are getting too slow and obsolete for my liking but the reason people like me don’t talk much about Ogbu yet is that he is not playing in a Top5 league yet…… Please remove this your tribal conversation from a football environment…… Nobody hates Musa because of his tribe and religion abeg……you are bigger than all this.

Hahahahaa….more excuses to smokescreen their true intents.

“…Ogbu does not play in Top 5 leagues yet…”

        What an excuse…LMAOoo.

Please how many of our natural CBs including the circa 40yr old perennial fringe central defender Kenneth Omeruo currently play in the top 5 leagues….LMAOoo

Ogbu was the stand out player in the U17 team of his class, he was also the stand out player in the U20 team of his class, he would easily have made any of our olympic squads for the 2000 0r 2004 olympivs if we had qualified for any or both. He has played over half a decade in Europe and now battles with cup champions and table top highflyers of other teams across Europe, but he still isn’t proven enough to challenge CBs in the SE who themselves are not playing in the top 5 leagues and have never smelt competing in European Competitions.

Please clean the drool of lies sticking to both sides of your lips with which you have spoken.

We know hypocrisy from miles away when we see on.

Once again, Kenneth Omeruo is not Garba Danaladi a Muslim northerner, so his presence in the SE hasnt been and wouldn’t be “blocking any space for younger players”

That was how they chased Shehu Abdullahi from the national team.

        • Is odion ighalo a Muslim northerner too?……but people kicked against his inclusion in SE too nah….You are bigger than this thing….stop spreading hate and sentiment in a forum that host one of the last topics that unites us as a nation….it’s very careless and wicked

Talk about the central defender the SE need presently and I will point to this guy. He has never disappointed in the national team colours and has even become better.

With time NIGERIAN football aficionados will understand how much of importance this guy is supposed to be to the Super Eagles’ of today… It is just unfortunate that he is currently plying his trade in a lowly Czech republican league.

This guy deserves to be playing in top5 league considering his defensive astuteness. He is a very fantastic Defender who is capable to hold his own in clubs AC Milan, Man U, Barca, Juventus and many more. In fact, what José Peseiro is looking for in Caleb Okoli is in this guy and beyond! In few months ahead people will come and hail me for being the first person to say this!

I like his passion for the game. Reminds me of a certain Taribo. No nonsense bullish chop anybody head off kinda defender with great ball sense and technical finesse. He has caught my eyes since his U20 days with Aigbogun. Only needs a move to mainstream Europe to fine-tune his abilities. Not necessary a top 5 league, but a top 10 league like Portuguese, Scottish, Turkish, and even The French league ti wa ok. The Dutch league is now in the top 5 ahead of the French league in the 2023 UEFA coefficient.

I like to Awaziem and this Ogbu guy given a chance with their performance so far this season. I’m glad we have more decent to potential quality options in defense. SuperEagles is taking shape ahead of the showdown in Ivory Coast. The only area of concern remains the goalkeeping department.

To win the AFCON we need a rock between the sticks. Adeleye is the only one playing regularly among our current goalkeepers, but his height leaves a lot to be desired. Uzoho hasn’t played a club game since May which dates back to last season. Leke still lacks the exposure. We need to sort this area of our team out of we really want to e a contender for the AFCON. We can score many goals, but without a decisive goalie it won’t be enough.
