Are you really sure the labour of our heroes past arent in vain already…??? Only a few weeks ago we lost Jogo Bonito….I heard a chunk of his emoluments as national team coach is still unpaid till date…now we have lost our defence minister, with zero help from NFF or Sports Ministry (they are preoccupied with how they will stampede their 4 mediocres into the national team while our legend are withering away in very undignified manners). If not for Chief Otedola we dont know what would have been of Chairman Chukwu today. Nigeria indeed isn’t worth dying for.

Rest in peace Sir Shofoluwe. You redefined the art of defending from the flanks and ushered us into this era of attacking fullbacks. Your legacies live on. This is really sad indeed

What a player! I recall the late Ernest Okonkwo described him in one of those cracker vs Ghana “as cool as a conccumber” in recognition of his calculated calmness in recovering the ball from a Ghanaian player without much fuss. No doubt one of the very best defender to wear the famous green and white. A thorough breed full back with great attacking qualities. There is a reason why the great Ernest Okonkwo named him the ‘dean of defence’.

It hurts to see great players who brough lots of joy to us rust away in our county. May you rest in peace elegant dean of defence.
