Exclusive: 2022 W’Cup Ticket Will Heal Wounds Of AFCON Disappointment –Tijani Tells Eagles

Former Nigerian winger, Tijani Babaginda has has revealed that the Super Eagles can win back Nigerians’ trust if they defeat the Black Stars of Ghana for one of Africa’s five tickets to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Recall that the senior national team crashed out in the round of 16 of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nation after losing 1-0 to Tunisia.

The team which had won all three group games at the competition, was expected to brush aside Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

The defeat did not go down well with some Nigerians however, Tijani in a chat with Completesports.com, said that the March 25 and 29 date for the World Cup playoff will be an opportunity for the team to redeem their image.

“I know the event of the 2021 AFCON tournament still hurt Nigerians and some of the players as as well considering the fact that they gave us so much expectations.

” However, losing to Tunisia came as a shock to many people who has thought it will be victory for the team.

“With the 2022 World Cup playoff around the corner, this is an opportunity for the players to redeem their image and qualify ahead of their West African neigbour.

” There should be no room for error at this stage and I believe the players will win both games this month.”

Considering that the Black stars are always ready to shed their blood when they face the SE, 1-1 in Ghana and 0-0 at Abuja is still good for us? We’d be all squared, but qualify.

I recommed for any player, administrive, he must not comment on Super Eagles encounter versus Black Stars of Ghana with they(SE) will beat Ghana then advace to the World Cup in Qatar next julay 2022; I think this will press SE team on confronting Black Stars; espcially the frist encounter in Accra, at Cape Coast stadium; so any commentory must be little bit on how we prepare SE on this encounter, how we advise coaching crew to overhaul SE tactics just on defensive side, how we can lift SE moral soul to confront Ghana. But we must not confirm SE will beat Ghanian team then advance to the WCO. ; we must not evaluate Ghana on early exit from Afcon. in Cameroon and thier bad results; Ghana is a great team with his classical encounters versus SE, Ghana have used to confront SE hardly and bravely just like Tunisia versus SE; so you can not imagine SE will beat Ghana easily.
