Exclusive: AFCON 2O21: Osimhen Will Benefit Immensely From Moses If He Returns To Eagles – Nwosu

Ahead of the 2O21 Africa Cup of Nations, former Nigerian midfielder, Henry Nwosu believes Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will benefit immensely from Victor Moses if he eventually makes a return to the senior national team.

The former Chelsea FC star who currently plays in Russia for Spartak Moscow announced his retirement from International Football on August 15, 2018.

Victor Moses’s last appearance for the Super Eagles was at the 2018 FIFA World Cup which was staged in Russia where the Super Eagles failed to make it to the Round of 16.

However, with reports that the 2013 AFCON winner is planning to make a return to the team, Nwosu in an interview with Completesports.com stated that it would be a massive boast for the Super Eagles if Moses returns to the team.

“I have nothing against Victor Moses’ return to the Super Eagles because he still has a lot to offer the team. He’s still consistent for his club and has played a key role to their success in the Europa League.

“There is no doubt that the Super Eagles will also benefit from him if he returns, most especially when the Africa Cup of Nations is just around the corner. A player like Victor Osimhen will enjoy the services that Moses will provide for the Super Eagles.”

  • God bless you Henry Nwosu for calling a spade it’s name. Moses coming back to the SE has been one of the best news ever because we know his inclusion is bringing good fortune to the camp of the Super Eagles. Coach Rohr should include, Moses, Desser, Ebuehi, Dennis and Ayenuga to make his present list of 23, 28 players for Afcon, after which others can be considered in the 40-man WCQ list in March. Good luck SE, God bless Nigeria.

Words from the mouth of a professional, no doubt. These are the ex players SE Coach, Coach Rohr should listen to. With Moses, Aina and Awanziem on the pitch Ighalo and Osimhen are good to get the goals without stress. If we remember the last AFCON, it was Aina doing the dirty jobs from the flanks while Odion was busy scoring.

Not only Osimehn, the keeper too. As a matter of fact the whole team. If General ROHR plays him the way Conte did during Chelsea. He is a workaholic.

  • Why won’t it be fake news@Afuye wen Rohr is still in charge. VM11 will return at the right time, Chill. Rohr will still be clueless even with world best XI, thanks to Pickmic. Na me talk am!
