However, reacting to the team’s performance, Rufai in a chat with Completesports.com, stated that the players didn’t disappoint despite the defeat to Costa Rica.

“This is a good performance form the Super Eagles against a Costa Rican side that paraded their best stars for the encounter.

“I am not really disappointed with the result but will commend the players for their brilliant performance in that game. This will further improve the confidence of the players and also gives the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro an insight on players he can draft to the the main team.”

Am very sure that the CORONA VIRUS ALGERIA B TEAM that DEFEATED EGUAVEON and HIS FULL FLEDGED TEAM would have done something better if they were the ones that PLAYED this COSTA RICAN side….

Praising a failed system, just to curry favour and wangle your way back in for selfish reasons. There is no truth from these self-centred ex-internationals. Truth is they are jealously guarding whatever success they had attained and do NOT want others to surpass them. This is what happens to many extinguished families in Nigeria: no mentoring to enable the coming generation to excel.

If these guys cannot speak out objectively, where is our hope? Doing things impulsively, without plans, no set goals; and the end result? MOVING IN CIRCLES.

Nice one @ KangaA. I have lost every iota of respect for all these self acclaimed ex whatever. How on earth will someone celebrate this height of mediocrity for crying out loud. Are we as a football nation suppose to be on this level? How difficult is it for our football authorities to get their priorities right?. How difficult is it to establish a decree that will ensure every local base SE play consistently with the national teams for 2 years before getting certification to go foreign, thus helping in building a solid homebase SE which altogether help lay foundation for a solid mainstream SE. But Na, they are here celebrating nonsense…..

  • Must we complain in everything? Brazil lost 07 in front of their fans but they stil move on.things will soon change for good. let’s souport nff and the coaching crew

My brother tell them, they keep making noise has if when chosen to pick the team they will do better than the coach. You guys should go and sleep, costa rica was just lucky to have won that game. Some home based players assembled did there best, they had several opportunities to have won that game but didn’t take advantage of it, at least some people were screaming they will collect wotowoto, Lets see the ones that will play portugal what will take place
