Exclusive: Saudi Arabia, Mozambique Will Serve As Good Test For Eagles –Unuanel

Former Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel believes the Super Eagles’ international friendly game against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique will serve as a good for the team.

The Super Eagles will face Saudi Arabia on Friday, 13 October, before clashing with Mozambique on Monday, 16 October.

Both friendly games are part of preparations for the Eagles for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

Speaking with Completesports.com, Unuanel said that the Nigerian Football Federation have done enough to put together the two friendly games.

He also revealed that the games will serve as an opportunity for the team to bond well and for Peseiro to test the strength of the new players.

“Playing Saudi Arabia and Mozambique will serve as a good test for the Super Eagles ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

“It will afford Jose Peseiro the opportunity to bond the team and also identify other areas that can be improved.

“No doubt, the NFF have done a good job to have organized these two games for the Super Eagles and I commend their efforts.”

The Eagles go into the Saudi Arabia game with a winning streak of three games after qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.
