Exclusive: Why GoRound FC Are On Course For NPFL Return –Elechi

The young head coach of Nigeria National League (NNL) side GoRound FC, Ngozi [Blessing] Elechi , is very confident as he leads the Omoku-based side in their current spirited race for promotion to the NPFL, Completesports.com reports.

Elechi has a hand in GoRound’s past glories, having led the modest side to gain promotion to the premier division – the NPFL for the 2018/season, plus previous feats as champion of the national amateur division 1 and 2, as well as being the champion of the 2016 Rivers State FA Cup.

Elechi was hastily eased off when GoRound struggled in their first season in the NPFL, and eventually got demoted to the NNL. He moved on to coach Yobe Stars and Warri Wolves.

He has been re-signed by the management of GoRound, to help the club recover it’s glory this season. And the former Jigawa Golden Stars midfieder feels well at ease as he takes the challenge again, with positive results already making the side one of the promotion prospects in the NNL where they currently sit in second position of the Southern Conference’s Group B1.

“It’s so far good in Go Round FC . The club is doing very well again under my charge,” Elechi told Completesports.com in an exclusive interview.

“I rejoined the club when they were in the middle of the table. By the special grace of God, we are now in the second position.”

“The management called me and said they wanted me back, so that I could lead them to where they rightly belong which is the top.. I took the offer and the challenge and looked forward to taking the club to the top again.

“I took up the task because this a club that made me what I am today. I decided to come back and work hard to put them where they were in a couple of seasons ago.

Elechi assured: “We’re working hard again this season and looking forward to taking GoRound FC back to the Premier League where the club should belong. We’re working hard morning, afternoon, and night towards achieving this goal this season.

“When I got a call from the management of GoRound, I couldn’t resist their offer because this is the club that gave me the platform to become who I am today. I respect them for remembering me as the coach who took GoRound to the Premier League before, and one who can help the club achieve it again.

“Now, fans are looking forward to seeing GoRound soar again. So, I am here again to work morning, afternoon and night to take Go Round FC to the top again.”
