It remains to be seen whether Cyriel Dessers will also wear the Feyenoord shirt next season.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the Rotterdam club refuses to comply with the purchase option of four million euros for the Belgian striker.
But KRC Genk do not intend to reduce the amount, so there is a chance that Dessers will leave De Kuip in a few months.
According to the Belgian newspaper, Feyenoord had hoped for a flexible attitude from Genk, but technical director, Frank Arnesen, and associates received no response.

If no solution is found in the long term, Dessers will normally start preparing for the new season in Genk.
The attacker, who has been resourceful for Feyenoord as a loanee until the end of this season, has contract with Genk until the summer of 2024.
If it is up to technical director, Dimitri De Condé, Dessers will get a second chance at Genk, which took him over from Heracles Almelo in 2020 for four million euros.
Paul Onuachu seems to be in his final months with the current number eight in the Jupiler Pro League, while Ike Ugbo does not live up to expectations.
Before he chose Feyenoord, Dessers scored 8 goals in 40 appearances for Genk. The temporary transfer to Feyenoord seems to have done Dessers well. Trainer Arne Slot sees him as the best option for the striker position, after Bryan Linssen was preferred over his Belgian competitor for some time.
Dessers has been worth gold for Feyenoord more than once this season with goals scored at the tail end of games.
