FG Holds Send Forth Dinner For Super Eagles

FG Holds Send Forth Dinner For Super Eagles

The Federal Government of Nigeria will this evening play host to the Super Eagles team at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The Honourable Minister Of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare said the Ministry wants to host the team to a dinner and officially send them off to Cameroon.

According to the Minister, “These are players who left their clubs in the midst of Covid19 to represent their Fatherland, that shows patriotism. There is no better way to charge them to victory in Cameroon, than hosting the team and have a common ground ahead of the Nations Cup. I will not only watch the matches but will be present in Cameroon to support the Super Eagles of Nigeria and also wish them luck for their hard-work”.

Dare also wished the injured players of the team who could not make the trip to Cameroon, a quick recovery.

  • Mr Dare dinner is important but camp allowance and the players deserve winning and other bonuses is importanter sir. God bless Federal Republic Of Nigeria and our Dear SE.

    • I absolutely love your message here Femi. Indeed, dinner is most welcomed and shows to me that the preparations for the tournament are going well with the authorities now hosting the players in a cabaret of encouragement.

      All great stuff!

What’s left is to ensure all emoluments and associated bonuses are paid in a timely manner before and throughout the duration of the tournament.

These lads have the potential to fantastic things in Cameroon despite losing their coach so close to the the tournament. But shoehorned to that should be the NFF doing its part.

I already read on another website how the NFF have approached the the FG for full funds to prosecute a successful tournament for the Super Eagles at the continental showpiece.

I pray this wave of positivity pervading the Super Eagles continues from here on in.

      • You are right @deo ,we all know the reward for labour/work done is payment plus payment is the best way to boost morale and confidence, the NFF should endeavor to pay them on time as they are the real warrior. God Bless Them.

Mr minister you can host them to a send forth but must you go to cameroun?.Are you the coach or the goal keeper trainer? Don’t you have other National duties apart from looking for any opportunity to steal? Estacode kill you there.una want carry una bad head follow super Eagles again.Trashy and shameless people.By the grace of God,insha Allah Eagles go make us smile.

    • Golden Child 2 years ago

      @Shege Luzzy,
How else will they get estacode? The jamboree begins and i can bet you he is not going alone. Expect a delegation of 10 people (girlfriends inclusive) to follow. That is how we roll in Nigeria, shameful.

      • Obafemi Adedeji 2 years ago

I dont know how few Nigerians think. What is estacode??You people are always shallow in your thinking. Why must you be divisive always.Does it mean he is going to stay there till end of tournament.I dont know how some Youth of today always abusive, intolerant and aggressive.

        • Shege luzzy 2 years ago

@Obafemi,your response shows how deep you are in your thinking by trying to do God’s work the devil’s way. That certain opinions dont align with yours doesnt warrant your arranging an urgent census to gain majority and refering to others as few Nigerians. You sounded like the minister has told you the duration of his stay in cameroun.Your utterances are misguided and contradictory because your subtle shades shows intolerance and perhaps ignorance. In all i think you are a poorly equipped paid agent. You are still a neophyte in the trade.

          • Obafemi Adedeji 2 years ago

I don’t have your time.If I don’t align with you then I’m paid.I repeat you are shallow in thinking.I don’t need to be told that he is not going to be there till end of the tournament. It is because you don’t follow or u re too small.I have been watching football since the days of mathematical Odegbami and sport administrators do lead the contingent to tournament not to talk of AFCON.Let it be known to you.

Oh.what a sad and confused response from a senile old man.I actually thought you belong to reality until you just explained your plight.sorry i misunderstood the fact that you live in the past and you would stop at nothing to uphold the past.something tells me you still recite the old anthem” NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE.Your tale is full of sound and fury.I forgive you.

I can see you lack home training or you were trained but refused to change.I dont blame you, It is because you have small phone and u are able to buy small data you think you can be writing nonsense against people. You think you can be writing spurious allegation against a Minister and by now you are not languishing in jail.I repeat u are an agent of destruction that does not see anything good in whatever people that are better than you in all ramifications. And do u know what, you are just starting.Frustration will kill you.Useless and stupid youth. You better go and find something to do for a living.

Watford winger Ismaila Sarr has joined Senegal for the Africa Cup of Nations after being released by his club.

Watford striker Emmauel Dennis couldn’t join Nigeria for the African Cup of Nations.

Sarr was “injured” but Senegal still requested for him.
Dennis is currently a man in a great form but Nigeria couldn’t bring him to join the national team especially when the striking position needs additional personnel due to the unfortunate ABSENCE of Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu.

Same Continent, Same tournament, same club … TWO DIFFERENT FAS!!!
One FA wants all her best players available for the tournament at all
Cost!! – Her name is Senegal !!!
The other FA is simply contempt with the few she could gather!!! – Her name is Nigeria !!!

Let compare three playing positions between these two participants at the Afcon; (SEN vs NGR)
    Goalkeeper : Mendy vs Okoye
    Defender: Koulibaly vs Ekong
    Striker: Mane vs Ighalo

My people, I hope some of us know EXACTLY what we are going to face when the curtains for Afcon is raised and the whistle is blown !!!

Let’s just watch the Afcon simply for the spirit of oneness and unity for Africa … and as a super Eagles fan, all I would say is “May God have mercy on the super Eagles in every game we play !!!”

    • Greenturf 2 years ago

You named three of their best compared with 3 Nigerian players in the same position. Its rather a comparison to justify your argument but not a fair comparison if you must be honest.
Our own best players might be in a different playing position which may dwarf theirs or may not.I understand Senegal have quality but winning a tournament goes beyond that.
Nigeria has a big team not far behind Senegal. Our team equally plays in the top 5 league of European football so with a bit of luck coupled with good team bonding and tactics we could come tops against sides like Senegal and go all the way through to glory what super eagles needs is belief.

    • @Dean what exactly do you want the NFF to do when the players in question is not willing to come? Sarr wanted to join his national team but our own CR7 do not, forget all this late invite and all, that’s just by the side, the main reason is Dennis don’t wanna show up, so we move, pls let’s forget about this guy and concentrate on the lad who are ready to defend there fatherland as all they need now is our prayer and support.

    @Shege luzzy,
Your tone is like don’t sing the national anthem. Very agitated, lolz!

    • KING TUOYO 2 years ago

Is it true that Cyriel Dressers has being called up to replace Odion Jude Ighalo?

    • Vincent 2 years ago

If they didn’t sing our national anthem, what will they sing? Ha ha ha, you are funny. I like it when the Minister said it was patriotic of our players to come to the Afcon party despite all odds. That is sure to give the boys psychological boost.

Reports say that NFF are “begging” the federal govt for 15 billion naira, to fund the Afcon and world cup campaigns.
    Hehehehehehe!
We have to give them a new nickname in addition to NFF ONIGBESE.
The new nickname is – NFF BEGGY BEGGY!
    Continue!

Amaju na armed robber what happened to all the endorsements he has been signing? We haven’t forgotten how his corruption case was swept under the table by forcing the son of a top Director general into the 2019 u17…….

  • Footballfanatic 2 years ago

For anyone who can read Dutch……It seem cyriel Dessers might replace Ighalo.

    • I just pray they pick Cyril because he deserve it.

    • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

This is still mere speculation. That Dessers hasn’t been invited even before now is still baffling, going by the abracadabric way call-ups have gone for this AFCON and the seeming tacit move to reduce the number of ‘foreign-borns’ in the team by all means.

I wont bee surprised if a defender is invited in place of Ighalo, going by how a winger was called up to replace osimhen. Already were are beginning to hear names like Amoo, Isaac Success and Simy Nwankwo being bandied around. So its best to just wait till the deed is done to see what comes out of the hat.

        https://scorenigeria.com.ng/dessers-alerted-to-replace-ighalo-for-afcon/

I’ve searched the internet but there hasn’t been any confirmation just speculations but if it turns out to he true……I’d be happy to see what he really has to offer I’d he isn’t benched all through the tournament..

        • If this is true then both eqguavoen and ighalo have messed up. Imagine calling up ighalo when we had other options only to be told at the eleventh hour that he cant come and ighalo couldn’t cpme out on time to let everyone know that he cant make it. All this is still under speculations. But it wont look professional from both of them if it were true.
Also, where is jamilu collins. The papers said he is still being expected. Is he available or not. Why is it taking him this long to report to camp. Its not like I will miss him if he isnt available but I just don’t want anyone to cost us to be under-maned.

      • If ighalo can’t make it I will settle for isaac success. He may not be up to 100% yet but the guy is strong and has been doing well in the Italian serie A.
If they want to invite a defender instead then Akpoguma should be called up.
If its a midfielder then I would prefer Raphael nwadike.

Lmaooo oga use google translator abi hand dey pain you to copy and translate?

  • @deo you know this is a saying which say if there too much salt inside food the food will become tasteless so i hope all this activities and mass traveling with the super eagles will not cause distraction to the team.

  • Hope they don’t stop at send forth.

  • Pius, what else after the send forth hosted by the Federal Government?

    • The delegation in support of our SE will join to sing the national anthem before any match. I think our supporter’s club is increasing its base.

  • Wow! This God no dey sleep!
Majority of Naija fans including me never really wanted Ighalo ahead of dessers and Shehu ahead of Ebuehi, Now ! See what has happened!
I just pray they don’t disappoint.
