Flying Eagles midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has been released by English Premier League outfit Manchester City, ending his 13 years association with the club, reports Completesports.com.
The Premier League champions confirmed Bashiru’s departure on their official website on Friday.
Bashiru, 19, made his professional debut for Manchester City in a League Cup tie against Leicester City in December 2017.
His brother, Fisayo and Nigerian born defender Tosin Adarabioyo were however retained by the club.
He will now look to secure a move to another club and get his career back on track.
Dele-Bashiru was part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles side that made it to the Round of I6 at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
The talented midfielder featured in three games in the competition, scoring the third goal in Nigeria’s 4-0 win against Qatar.

They released him because he refused to sign with them. Complete sport stop this divisive attitude. If you guys don’t have full report then do the honourable by keeping quiet. Your not giving the full report is trying to promote negative insinuation towards the player. Bashiru wants to play top level regular football n Man City couldn’t guarantee that hence his refusal to sign. Hopefully he finds a decent club where he can play. I truly like this n expect other Nigerian players to do same instead of warming d bench or playing u-23 for so called top clubs.
Thanks for the enlightenment
