Ethan Pinnock headed in a corner for the Bees equalising goal in the second half.

Onyeka struck the winner a few moments later.

A Rico Henry cross from the left was half cleared and dropped to the Nigeria international , his shot was low and powerful and whistled past Rivero and in to the net from the edge of the penalty area.

The Premier League newcomers will face Arsenal in their opening game of the game next week Friday.

Onyeka bro, you dey vex ooo

  • Onyeka getting some minutes under his belt was a joy to watch yesterday…..he was very sharp and covered alot of distance…. Bredford play a very high pressing attacking game which is why they would be needing Onyeka to watch their backs when they attack….. Arsenal should be very mindful of this guys on Friday…. because if arsenal rely on the super computer nonsense then they are in for a very Ruth shock.

The super eagles midfield combo of:

Onyeka. Ndidi. Aribo. will be tantalising to watch always in a friendly weather atmosphere with lurshing turf filled with its capacity.

Wish Ademola Lookman will be officially pronounced by FIFA soonest as of the players decleared fit to don the Nigerian jerseys. Best time to be super eagles fans is now guys!

If Brentford can perform like this throughout the season, that super computer may need recalibration. Kudos to Onyeka. I like to see midfielders with the ability and confidence to shoot at goal. Looks like Onyeka has what it takes to thrive in the premier league. The keys to surviving premier league football as a midfielder are SPEED OF THOUGHT AND DECISION MAKING. If you dwell on the ball, your opponent will be all over you in a flash, unlike other leagues where you are allowed to have a bit more time on the ball. A midfielder in the premier league must move the ball quickly and with purpose, and have the energy to cover a lot of ground. Onyeka looks like he is up for the task.

    • He will also be doing alot of dirty work in their midfield….And that’s the main reason they bought him…..He neutralizes attacks with ease and he is a good sweeper….Any team that is willing to attack must have a player like that in midfield especially in the premier league where counter attack is a common tool all teams use this days…..

  • Wilfred Ndidi.
    Frank Onyeka.
    Adewale Oladoye.
    Etabo.
    Nigerian defensive men are gathering.
