Friendly: Dessers Scores Four Goals In Feyenoord’s 4-3 Win Vs NEC

Cyriel Dessers scored all four goals for Feyenoord who edged NEC Nijmegen 4-3 in a thrilling friendly match on Thursday.

Most of the top European leagues are on break as players departed from their respective clubs to represent their countries in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Dessers was not invited for Super Eagles’ upcoming qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.

However, that did not distract Dessers as he continued his impressive form in front of goal netting Feyenoord’s four goals.

The Belgian born forward scored the winner for Feyenoord against German Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin in an Europa Conference League fixture last week and followed that up with a 92nd-minute winner against AZ Alkmaar at the weekend.

The 26-year-old, who is on loan to Feyenoord from Genk, has scored four goals in seven league games this season.

BY THE GRACE OF GOD, YOU WILL NOT REGRET FOR SNUBBING BELGIUM FOR NIGERIA.
GOD WILL CONTINUE HELPING YOU SCORING MORE GOALS AND MAKE SURPRISE INCLUSION IN SUPER EAGLE FOR AFCON 2022.
    AMEN, AMEN, & AMEN

Coach Rohr and NFF, please invite Cyriel Dessers to the Super Eagles for both the next AFCON in Cameroun and the knockout phase of the Africa World Cup qualifiers if and when the Super Eagles qualify by topping there Group C in the current World Cup Africa zone qualifiers, Cyriel Dessers has shown he is a prolific striker cum attacking minded player who will be a great addition to Nigeria’s soccer team, I rest my case.

  • If nff and Mr. Rohr continue to ignore Cyriel Dessers I will hate them more, Dessers is better than Musa, Ighalo, Shehu and Paul Onauchu. What are going to do with 9 defenders for Christ sake and keep on ignoring great striker who can play as attacking midfield as well

My brother, dressers is not better than paul onuachu. Is Paul not the reason dressers is on loan this season? Last season, was dressers not on the bench when paul was scoring goals for fun?(33 actually).
      Please,both cannot be compared sir.

  • The truth is that we can still lose him to Belgium if changes his mind. That’s the fear. I hope will do the needful for afcon. We don’t beant to lose dessers and bassey the way we lost eze.

Wonderful! Four goals in one match? Should he continues scoring, Coach Rohr needs to consider him for Afcon, he has my total support.

If this lad could claim the starters role at Feyenoord and continue to score maybe he could push for a late nations cup place.
A huge challenge comes in the person’s of Awoniyi who will pose a big threat to that ambition.
As it stands it’s all but confirmed baring injuries and lost of form the current attackers in Morocco will be on the plane to Cameroon.Probabably one more addition where the likes of Awoniyi,Dessers,Umar and Moffi will fight for,a shame three out of this terrific strikers won’t be on the plane to Cameroon.

He hasn’t been well represented. Anyhow, I will talk to Rohr about this boy.

  • You guys are beingginning to see what we have been saying, what is really wrong with rohr lack of technicality and confidence during westernoff era you could see the confidence displayed by westernoff whenever super eagles is against any africa opponent there is always fear factor that goes with the team cus westernoff integrated that fear factor into the team and they played robust football but presently now the super eagles played and there’s no fear factor this is what’s happening to the present super eagles.

  • The Danger with not Capping Dessers now is that if he carries on Performing like this in Holland, Belguim will swap him up.

This is what we where saying there is too many players that need to fight for a place in SE that we can’t afford to have Musa, Ighalo and Shehu on the plane.Osimhen
Iheanacho, Awoniyi,Dennis, Onuachu, Dessers, Amoo, You name it these are the guys That should be challenging for forward roles in SE not old legs Abeg. Why can’t people see this. IGHALO is good but then you have to drop Onuachu. Coach why??.

At least 2 more if these boys should be allowed to Join up with Osimhen and Iheanacho, and my take is Awoniyi and Dennis some will say Dessers but that way it is justifiable because, at least they are still performing competitively at the highest in their club football. man these ways of Pinnick the thing Chock abeg or na Shock I never no which one. Is too much.

I admire this guy petriotism and zeal to play for SA.And he is good.I fear Nigeria will loss him very soon.

    • Chinenye 2 years ago

Which South Africa? He rather not have an international career than represent Xenophobias

  • Chinenye 2 years ago

Klistivi this a very simple understanding, we not talking about Ighalo as an individual we talking about loosing players that has longer on services to give us in his position.

But as we all know, people with brains that comprehend like an inverted funnel will label you “hater” for wanting the best for the team. In this country people cannot differenciate between “criticsm” and “hatred”

Alaba we rejected is more decorated than all our left back, past and present

What do you really think will be going on in the mind of Awoniyi at the moment

Even if he scores 30goals in warm up matches, he and Musa has absolutely no business in the super eagles team especially in their positions where there are lots of better in-form options and it’s a no-brainer

  • Hmmm. So we invite a retiree who supposedly can reignite our attack, back to the national team only to see that he’s not listed for the game despite his reported top performance in training.

The irony that we are in every area of our nationhood is sickening.

  • I’d wager this guy chose Nigeria because of his mum…not just cos he didn’t get a chance with Belgium. And I fear he may yet change his mind but I hope he will hold on just a wee bit so we don’t lose him in the end.
