Just as the Super Eagles looked set to secure a narrow victory, Przemysław Wiśniewski fired in a brilliant 25-yard strike in stoppage time to force a share of the spoils.
Eagles’ Quick Play And Control Of Possession
Reacting after the game, Ekpo in a chat with Completesports.com, praised the Super Eagles’ quick play and control of possession against a Poland side that was playing at home.
He noted that he’s impressed with the performance of the players despite playing a 2-2 draw against the host.
“It was a good game to watch, and I am impressed with the outcome of the result against Poland. The Super Eagles’s quick play and control of possession show how well the players are adapting to Eric Chelle’s tactical setup.
“From the defence to the attack, the players gave their best and could have won the game had the players closed down the space that gave the Polish player that vision to hit a shot from that distance.

“In all, it was a wonderful performance from the players, and I know they will get better when they face Portugal in their next friendly game.”
Portugal Come Next
After today’s clash, Nigeria will shift their attention to another friendly game against World Cup-bound Portugal on June 10.
The Super Eagles, though not featuring at the 2026 World Cup, are using the friendly matches to test tactics and new players ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
