Experienced full-back Christian Fuchs has signed a new one-year contract that will keep him at Leicester next season.
The former Austria international’s previous deal had been due to expire this summer and there had been suggestions that he would be looking to continue his career in the United States.
However, the 33-year-old will now be remaining at the King Power Stadium for at least one more season, as he has put pen to paper on a new deal and he is clearly delighted to be sticking around. “I’m thrilled to be signing a new one-year deal with Leicester City Football Club,” Fuchs told the club website.
“It’s an exciting time for everyone, with a new training ground being built and some fantastic young talent coming through. “Our ambition is to play good football and continue to improve. The Club and our fans have always been great with me and I want to give back as much as possible.

I can’t wait to see what next season brings for this Football Club!” Fuchs is a firm fans favourite at the King Power, as he played a major role in Leicester’s Premier League title-winning season of 2015-16, as well as their successful run to the Champions League quarter-finals the following year.
In total, the former Schalke player has featured 118 times for the Foxes, although only three of those outings have come in the Premier League this season, with Fuchs having to be content with playing second fiddle following the emergence of Ben Chilwell at left-back.
