Kano Pillars have announced the appointment of Ibrahim Galadima as their acting chairman, reports Complete sports.com.
Galadima will take charge from Surajo Shuaibu Jambul who was recently sacked by the state government.
The sack of Jambul is not unconnected with his recent attack on an assistant referee during the rescheduled week 31 match between Pillars and Dakkada FC in Ka
“As part of routine exercise in sports administration, governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state replaces the Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club (Sai Masu Gida), Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya, with the Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, Ibrahim Galadima,”reads a statement by Abba Anwar
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
“As Kano Pillars is facing more competition in National Premier League (NPL) it will be good to have leadership that could perfectly lead the Club.”
“Ibrahim Galadima, Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, will now replace the current Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya, in an acting capacity, before the appointment of a substantive Chairman,” governor Ganduje reveals.
“The appointment is with immediate effect.”
Galadima was a former chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation.
He is the chairman of Presidential Committee on the 10-Year Football Development Masterplan which is set to submit it’s blueprint to Minister of Youth and Sports Development.

This is a right step in the right direction. The manager in question didn’t cover himself in glory by carrying out such ignoble act which to me is tantamount to arrest and possible imprisonment. stiffer punishment should be metted-out on him to serve as deterrent to others.
