Galatasaray, Besiktas Keen On Signing Iheanacho On Loan From Leicester

Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besiktas will battle to secure the services of Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho on loan when the transfer window reopens in January, reports Completesports.com.

Iheanacho arrived the King Power Stadium in a big money move in 2017 but has failed to make impact at the club.

According to a report in Turkish news outlet, fanatic.com.tr, Galatasaray and Besiktas are looking to bolster their respective squads during the January transfer window, with each believing the 23-year-old will be a quality addition.

Iheanacho has struggled for regular playing time at English Premier League club, Leicester City this season.

The 23-year-old is yet to make a league appearance for the Foxes this term and has played just twice in the Carabao Cup.

He scored one goal in 30 league appearances for Leicester City last season.

Good for him cos the current form of vardy he has no chance except injury sidelined him. What he need is playing time I believe he still has a lot to offer.

This I believe is the beginning of Kelechi’s revival!
I don’t really mind where they send him. Even if na Sambisa forest, as long as he gets to play regularly, he will be ok. His talent is the type that you can only frustrate by not playing him. As long as he gets to play, he will improve dramatically, and the world will see him again for what he really is.

    • Let’s hope things turn out that way.
My ultimate prayer will be for an Italian club to snap Iheanacho up.

I believe his calculative style of play that requires less speed but more movement and positioning would suit the Italian league.

Any big club in Turkey like Fenerbahce, Besiktas or Galastasaray would also be a good move provided he does get to play regularly.

      • I pray God favors this boys move o!!! I have not given up on Kelechi yet, he is a lethal striker, with a bit of luck, persistence, hardwork, and regular playing time, he will come back to his deadly best…. Amen.

Na money dey carry am go there so.that guy no wan collect pay cut make he go average clubs in Germany or in italy

  • Wherever kelechi decides to move to he should realise that he is not a natural #9 , he is too heavily left legged to succeed in that position. The fact that he was converted to play in that position at Man city does not mean he should stick to it, I personally believe that if he insist on playing as a top striker he will continue to have the same problem he has been having for sometimes now. Kelechi is a player in the mould of Roben of Holland who played for some of the biggest teams in the World and he scored a lot of goals but never pretended to be a top striker.
