Remi Garde has rubbished reports suggesting that he will depart Montreal Impact in the summer and return to take charge of Lyon.
The 52-year-old enjoyed a successful three-year spell with the French Ligue 1 outfit between 2011-14, where he won both the Coupe de France and a Trophee des Champions title.

Garde then had an unsuccessful five-month stint with the then Premier League side Aston Villa, before taking over MLS outfit Montreal Impact in November 2017.
And, while he admitted to still being in contact with some Lyon players, Garde was quick to deny speculation that he is being lined up to replace current boss Bruno Genesio in the summer. He said: “On my end, I haven’t had any recent contact with Olympique Lyonnais on the subject. I have a feeling that this information was made up.”
