Ghana missed an Olympic Games ticket narrowly in 2019 after losing on penalties to Ivory Coast in the semi-finals of the last U23 AFCON.

Ghana’s best ever outing in the men’s football event at the Olympics was Barcelona 1992 where they won bronze.

It was the first time ever an African team will win a medal in the Olympics football event.

The best game of the Afcon U-23 qualifiers was the come back of Mali in trashing Senegal 3-0 after losing 3-1 in the first leg. Congrats to all to the qualifiers, I am happy CAF didn’t use Regional zoning this time around, The Afcon u-23 must surely come to West Africa. Nigeria is gradually becoming a joke in football. Let’s see if Our Eaglets could redeem our dented image at the upcoming u-17 Afcon in Algeria by April.
