Go Round Coach Ani Relishes Away Win Against Gombe United

Go Round of Omoku coach, Smart Ani, has been celebrating his team’s 1-0 away at newly promoted Gombe United and dedicating the feat to the memory of his late mother, Elizabeth Akaluogbo Completesports.com reports.

He also said the mother of former coach of the side, Ngozi Elechi, also have a share of the dedication even as the gaffer who is currently the technical adviser if Yobe Desert Stars partakes in the victory as he recuperates from an auto crash on their way to Nasarawa for Wednesday’s match.

Henry Ochuba scored the eventual match winner seven minutes after kickoff as Go Round held out for a famous second win on the road this term. They defeated Abia Warriors in Umuahia on matchday-two.

“Also, I want to wish coach Elechi quick recovery with this win following his involvement in an accident on his way to Lafia for his club, Yobe Desert Stars’ match against Nasarawa United,” Ani said.

Go Round are now 4th in Group B standings with 15 points, three points behind leaders, FC Ifeanyiubah and El-Kanemi Warriors.

Akwa United are third with same 15 points but have superior goal advantage.
