Friday wey go good na from Monday we dey sabi am. For Manu’s 2013 team, in their preparatory matches back then, it wasnt a matter of whether they would win…..it usually was a matter of by how many goals. Left right center, they were humiliating teams and were unbeaten going into the WC scoring over 90 goals in the process. They even defeated professional clubs including Al Shaab FC complete with legend Raul Gonzalez on the pitch.

Im not expecting the trophy from this team at this year’s WC….the signals aren’t looking right. I would just hope more talents and future stars can emerge and get exposed to the rest of the world.

This coach ought to have been questioned by the media to give explanations on the reason he added three new players into the Final list going to the world cup without them training with the rest of the Squad members close to two months of Camping_
He suspiciously included Abba bichi,Olawale peter, and ojederan Hamzaat, three totally new untested players in the form of two strikers and one midfielder dropping arsenals ebiowei in the process(yet couldn’t score a single goal). with those machinery he smuggled into the team one would easily have thought they were players in the mould of Osimhen, Chukwueze and orji okonkwo put together but we don see am say all na Scam.

So our naija coach no get dat kind liver so him need to agree make him garri no go trowey for him hand. Na d people dey for talkam na dem dey do am. Sitdon look na dog name! @Samchi,it’s too early to condemn this team pls.Lets wait until the tournament proper then we will all access them.In the Osimh3n era people said similar things cos they did not even come out tops in the African qualifiers, but the rest is history now. This is just preparatory games towards the tournament proper they can afford to loose if that will make them access their weaknesses.Nobody ever expected that the Ukrainians will win the under 20 championship, that is football.Patience every one.

Yep you’re right! In 2015; Nigeria Victor OSIMHEN side came 4th at African U-17 Championship and went ahead to win the Fifa 2015 world cup in Chile

In 2013; Kelechi IHEANACHO side won the world cup but came 2nd at African U-17 Championship

Now in 2019 they also came 4th at African U-17 Championship and hopefully let’s pray they come out on top in Brazil

Losing in a friendly match against Japan doesn’t really matter; it will only open their eyes to quickly fill the loopholes, beside Japan are not a push over they’re the Asian champions and one of the strong favourites to lift this year U17 Fifa world cup trophy.
I don’t see them beating us again anyway.

A sure sign of failure for Manu Garba`s team at the U-17 WC in Brazil, especially as it is riddled with politics and corruption!

  • Kelvin Paul 5 years ago

Obviously,am not expecting anything from this current under 17.They have consistently losing all their tune up matches.

Perhaps,Nigeria factors? Please don’t ask what is Nigeria Factors, because we all know that our local coaches collect bribe to take average players to competition at expense of good ones.

@Sammy,pls stop making reference with negative correlation because it was good in the past so we should fellow it.

    • Must we win all age grade comoetition. No. Thus set of biys are very young. Whatever happens let us hooe we can have future stars in this team.

For me, I’m not too interested in UNDER WHATEVER world cup. The real one is what I need. We have to make a big splash in QATAR 2022. As mentioned already, what we need is to keep discovering new talents to make the Super Eagles stronger.

Sorry, my phone was down for awhile. Dr Drey and Sammy, are you guys ready to bet nit just #5000 but #10,000? There is no need talking too much – So l am saying that this talented group of talented Eaglets will win this year’s (2019) world cup vs you guys are saying they will not win it.
Dr Drey with you #10,000 /// Sammy with you #10,000. Are you ready to bet??? Make l chop some people money in a month’s time…

    • Sammy 5 years ago

@Emma Ehi – we have two Sammys in the house. My sammy agrees and supports your belief. If we don’t win it, we will definitely go very far.

  • Bobo Colorado springs 5 years ago

The Golden Eaglets will win the world cup for sure, just like in 2015, the team will get better as the competition progresses. Emma Ehi I support you.
