Watford boss Javi Gracia admits he is excited to see how his team fare when they take on Liverpool on Wednesday night.
The Hornets travel to Anfield for the Premier League encounter and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.
Liverpool have started to struggle of late, with Jurgen Klopp’s side drawing four of their last five matches in all competitions.
Watford are still looking to secure the seventh and final European spot this season and Gracia admits Wednesday’s meeting will give him a good chance to assess his squad against a title challenger.
He told the Watford Observer: “They’re a very good squad good with very good players. We have to be ready to compete against one of the candidates to win the title, it will be very very demanding.
“Always it’s a good time to play against Liverpool or other big clubs, always. “It’s a good chance to see if we are in the right way to compete and if we are able to compete against these big teams.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen for them and for us in this season, but I want to give the same importance against to this team than against others. “For us I don’t know if these three points will be the ones they need to win the title, but three points are in play and we will try to get them.”
