Guardiola Is Arguably The Greatest Coach in Past 100 Years, Not a Failure  –Oliseh

Former Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has leapt to Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola defence following the barrage of criticisms against the Spaniard following the Citizens’ below par showing in the English Premier League so far this season, reports Completesports.com.

Guardiola ‘s side face a difficult task to defend the title they have retained in the last two seasons following a string of unimpressive showing this term.

The Citizens are third in the table, 14 points behind leaders Liverpool and a point behind second-placed Leicester City.

Oliseh, a former Nigeria international believes Guardiola should be judged by his winning ratio and his team development.

”How dare anyone associate the word ‘failure’ to arguably the greatest, most ‘titled’ & delightful to watch coach of the past 100 years is shameful. You are judged as a coach by your winning ratio and how you improve players individually & as a team, nothing else! heads up Pep,” Oliseh tweeted on his Twitter platform.

Manchester City defeated League Two outfit Port Vale 4-1 in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.

They will face Manchester United in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final fixture on Tuesday.

    Hehehehe! I know say he must jump to his mentor’s defense 🙂 🙂 🙂
    On this one, I agree with him though. To say Guardiola is a failure is madness. In fact, that kain craze na the type wey done ENTER MARKET. The two words GUARDIOLA and FAILURE have no business together in the same sentence. At least for now. Guardiola would have to really blow it in the future to ever be considered a failure.

      Very much so @ Pompei. Guadiola definitely has been the world best coach for about the last decade. Anyone to dare label him a failure might do well to point out a better one.
