Ogunbote Targets Win In Oriental Clash Vs Enyimba

Enugu Rangers coach Gbenga Ogunbote is confident his side will return to winning ways when they face Enyimba of Aba in Sunday’s Oriental derby in a Nigerian Professional Football League clash in Aba reports Completesports.com.

Rangers have suffered back-to-back defeats to Rivers United and Bendel Insurance in their last two league fixtures.

Ogunbote who was in charge of Enyimba three years ago.

“What we have in mind is to come back home with a positive result all we ask is a level playing field,” Ogunbote said in a pre-match conference on Saturday.

“Aside the fact that I have handled Enyimba in the past, I wish to see Sunday’ game as any other we have played so far in the league.

“We have gone past the loss in Port-Harcourt and it is behind us now. We are focused on this encounter and our target is getting a good result in this third fixture I am having against my former employers.”

Meanwhile, Rangers will be without Michael Uchebo, Bright Silas, Roland Koffi, Kelvin Itoya, Bobby Clement but Ogunbote remains confident.

“Yes, there is the possibility that we may miss the services of some key members of the team but we have players registered for the competition that can comfortably fill the spaces. There is no cause for alarm.”
