Gusau also commented on Nigeria’s performance in the competition.

“You can see our Nigerians have reacted to the performance of the boys.

“Now they are seeing the Super Eagles they want to see because for a long time the team was not doing well and the fans were not happy with the pattern of play.

I resonate completely with the position of the NFF scribe but I also feel that appointing Austin Eguavoen as the substantive coach of the Super Eagles, giving him the opportunity to restore our lost glory in the World cup is a better way of making Nigerian soccer fans who are desirous of having an indigenous coach of their own, happy. .. It is high time we heard from the Football Federation.
