Hammers Defender Heading Back To Italy

West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang will reportedly complete a £7million move to Sassuolo on Sunday. The 27-year-old joined West Ham from Sampdoria in the summer of 2015 but he hasn’t been able to tie down a regular spot.

He missed a month of last term with a calf issue but still only managed to start 12 Premier League games and will return to Italy to get his career back on track.

Reports suggest West Ham and Sassuolo have agreed on a deal worth £7million plus bonuses and Obiang will head to Italy to undergo a medical on Sunday. West Ham have already forked out over £70million on signings this summer so Manuel Pellegrini is under pressure to bring in some cash to offset their outgoings.
