Liverpool defender Andy Robertson says hard work on the training ground has built the foundation for their success. The Reds secured the Champions League title last season and punters may wish to use their free bet to back the Anfield club to finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy this year, as they are the only side to have managed a maximum 12 points from the first four games.
The Liverpool squad is packed full of quality, but Robertson says hard work and dedication is crucial in their push for further success. “The standard is high and that’s why we get the best out of each other on a Saturday – because every single day we demand more,” the full-back told the Scottish FA. “The manager [Jurgen Klopp] is the one that dictates that, and his staff behind him. They don’t let us drop even one per cent in training and that’s why in a game we’re usually ready to go.
“Of course we’ll have bad games and we’ll have off games, that’s only natural. But it’s not from a lack of trying and it’s not from a lack of effort because in training we put in the distances we need and the work we need, the effort and everything that goes along with it. “Then we’re the best prepared to go into games. That’s what you need to be a top team.”
