The 51-year-old Austrian was praised for implementing a fast, pressing brand of football and pushing through several younger players, while also dispensing with older, higher earning players. They ended the year in 16th place but Hasenhuttl is confident they will be able to build a squad capable of finishing in the top ten, and the positive atmosphere at the club will be conducive to that.
Hasenhuttl said: “For the first half year, we wanted to bring back the feeling of being back. “I think we have managed to make people positive for the club again. “Next season, we want to climb as far as we can. We can land at 10th place.”
