Former Leicester City forward Emile Heskey has labelled Kelechi Iheanacho as the best finisher at the club, reports Completesports.com.
Iheanacho scored a sublime goal in Leicester City’s UEFA Europa Conference League 2-0 win against Ligue 1 club Stade Rennes at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night.
The Nigeria international netted the Foxes second goal with a curling finish in time added on.
“Kasper Schmeichel says Iheanacho is the best finisher at the club and that is fantastic. The finish was not easy at all. It’s great for him to score, especially with Jamie Vardy being out,”Heskey told BT Sport.
“The club rely on Vardy but it’s not just about him.”
It was the forward’s first goal in Europe this season.
He has now scored five goals and provided nine assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for the Foxes this season.

I remember when the same Heskey said Iheanacho wasn’t good enough for Lester and should be transferred, now he’s taking from bothsidesofhis mouth. I’m also old enough to remember the day he scored a curly goal from a difficult position that exposed Gary Neville’s prejudice towards him. Everyone was talking about how difficult or almost impossible it is to score from that position but Neville was mad that he did not pass the ball to Jamie Verdy because according to him he “COULD” miss the target shooting from that position. He was mad not because he missed the target, NO, but because he “COULD” miss the target which he did not and should have passed the ball to Jamie Verdy to score. Does that make sense?
That shows that goals scored by certain groups of people or some individuals are not appreciated by everyone.

Kelechi Iheanacho has the best shooting technique of all current Super Eagles players, none is even close. Watch the type of goal he scores, mostly intelligent goals. That’s why he can score against any goalkeeper – including Mendy and Neuer. The only area he lacks is perfect control and physicality. If he had the physicality of Victor Osimhen and a bit more ball-control, he’d be in the same conversation with the best.
I’m glad Hesky is eating his wards. A terrible striker (with work-rate) during his day’s. Give Emil Hesky 2,000 chances and he’ll score only 12 lol.
