The 25-year-old, who is determined to test himself in one of Europe’s top five leagues is not short of suitors.

The former Utrecht forward has been linked with a move to Feyenoord, Galatasaray and Torino.

“The club gave us a sign but is not enough to start talking. If an interesting and attractive offer comes to the table, negotiations begin,” Heracles sports director Tim Gilissen was quoted by Fanatik.

Hahahaha… my mission here is to use my binoculars/power reading lenses to read in between the lines of write ups, cos some forumites are really good at packing time bombs inside beautiful words/ phrases. Still reading though. We are one as long as we put God first, then nigeria. The rest will follow n allowed…lolzz. Bless you brother man.

  • Dessers’ 15 goals in 26 games stats last season in the Belgian league is just mad! That equates to roughly 1 goal in 2 games.

I can now see why Super Eagles are drooling from the mouth in anticipation of what this weapon of mass casualties will inflict on Super Eagles opponents once hostilities resume.

Having said that, Dessers should be aware that die-hard proponents of the physical nature of the game like Pastor Taribo West will lie in wait to analyse every aspect of his performance on African soil to determine whether ruthlessness in Belgium can translate to mercilessness in Super Eagles colours in the rough, rugged and unforgiving terrains of African Football.

Joe Aribo was lucky: he played in the more familiar terrains of Western football against Ukraine and Brazil where his stellar performances have already helped shape his reputation before games against Lesotho and Benin reminded fans that he still has to add more repertoire to his toolkit before becoming the finished article for Nigeria when you consider the opponents, weather and officiating that he will be exposed to in the coming seasons.

Still, Taribo West’s comments could have been more subtle and sensitive in its delivery.

Dessers will be thrown into the harsh terrain of African Football where he would almost be expected hit the ground running or at least show a lot of promise.

Stories linking Dessers to another seemingly higher profile club in hopefully a more glamorous leagues will only serve to wet the appetite of Super Eagles fans.

With governments in Europe starting to ease Lockdown measures and the German Bundesliga taking the bold steps to resume during this global pandemic, club and national team football will expect to resume shortly.

So, the wait to see what Dessers offers will inevitably come to an end. Then, should he hit the ground running, it will only go to confirm the faith many already have in him. Should he take to African football like duck to water, that will even be better.

I concur.  Great times for Real Super Eagles fans.  One small correction, Dessers plays in the Dutch league (Eredivisie) as opposed to the Belgian league (jupiler).  He is however of Belgian descent.

      • My bad 🙁

Thanks for the correction Lord AMO. As I was typing rather quick and in impromptu, I doubt if that would be my only booboo!! 🙂

@ King, you have been trying to deflect these coments towards a debate about Coach Rohr and Elder Odegbami. Don’t you guys get tired of arguments? I have been trying to let you guys know that these arguments generate negative vibes towards the SE. You could even derail the coach you claim to love so much!!!

The passion Desssers have for Nigeria has put him in the good books of Nigerian football fans even before kicking a ball for our dear super eagles. His love for his father’s land despite born and bred in Europe is encouraging and Nigerian’s from a grateful heart are hoping he gets to an enviable height in his career both at club and national team levels respectively.
Already he has been very passionate about a dream combo with Osimhen to form a lethal attack for Nigeria’s super eagles,we are hoping his pursuit of international football is a huge success, whether he gets to start games or have to come in at some point.
