Cardiff City manager Mick McCarthy has heaped plaudits on Sheyi Ojo after the Liverpool loanee scored in Tuesday night’s league clash against Rotherham United.
The Bluebirds took their unbeaten run in the Championship to four games with a 2-1 victory over Rotherham at the New York Stadium.
Ojo scored the opening goal for Cardiff City in the game.
The 62-year-old manager was also delighted with how the Liverpool star took his goal, lauding the player’s calmness to find the back of the net and hailing the finish as lovely.

“For his goal, Sheyi was as cool as a cucumber!” McCarthy told a press conference.
“It was a lovely finish, and he is a very good player.
“He’s playing up front with Kieffer [Moore], he’s got great ability and he’s quick, as well.“
Ojo has scored five goals and provided six assists from 28 Championship games so far this season, with three of those goal contributions coming in the last four games.
